Last part of "Grandpa and Me"
Well, after you download this part, you will have the whole kit! Any LO's to share? You were all on a roll and it seems to have come to a halt...real life getting in your way again?
They predicted a "real Nor'Easter" and if I had microscope I might be able to see the snow we got! Barely a dusting but it did get down to the 20's so hopefully it will help the flower bulbs. Don't know what spring will bring as far as the flowers since we have had daffodils and irises blooming here! It has just been too warm and am afraid that my gardens are ruined. Some of my flowering bushes had budded and now those little buds froze, little plants came up and they froze too. Bulbs need the frost but they need it before they bloom! Crazy weather! Those poor farmers in California...but we will all pay the price with fruit going through the ceiling!! Well, let's keep abusing our planet and see what else will happen! Before long you ladies that have been inviting me South will be visiting me for some tropical weather!! I am not a big fan of AL Gore but I do feel his work he is doing now about "living green" will be his legacy!
Jess stayed pretty low yesterday and really rested her leg after her little "incident". It doesn't seem like they will let her back to work while she is on crutches and she will stay on them for another 2 weeks at least. She is worried about finances since her student loan payments have started. She has been on a crusade to get her savings account bulging so when she is ready for an apartment of her own she will be financially ready and now she is getting a little down about everything. Hopefully, her workman comp checks will start coming and take some of the edge off! I am supposed to get my foot operated on so they can, basically, rebuild it. It would mean "no weight bearing for 2 months and then limited weight bearing for another 2! After watching her...I think I will put this off as long as pain permits!
Since this is the last part, I find myself in the position of wondering what to give you next again! Lately, I have been trying to scrap my kids photos and seem to have an abundance of kid kits. The one I am putting together , I am in love with but it is not finished! I think the next one will be a mini kit...one download...but then that means I would have to decide in a day what to give you next! Oh, the dilemma! LOL!
Okay, so here is another "interactive: thingy to get you all chatting again! "words that Kids say that become "family language". You know what I mean, words that your kids make up since they can't say the real word and you find yourself using them in your everyday speech. Going through my kids pics got me thinking about it, and some of the words are still in our vocabulary 23 years later! Some of mine are:
- Munga: a drink of something
- kingercomers: cucumbers
- gagada: gingerale
- let me tell you a thing or tube: obvious!
Of course there were a lot of others but these we still find ourselves saying from time to time! I thought my son would be 21 and asking his buddies if the wanted to go out for a couple of mungas at the local bar!!
Well, best get moving...have contained the laundry invasion and now the dust bunnies are rearing their ugly advances so...it is true, A WOMAN'S WORK IS NEVER DONE!
Download no longer available...sorry!
Enjoy and Happy Scrapping!

Thanks for the pretty kit! I can't imagine having to all but stay off of that foot for 4 months!! My son couldn't say pacifier, so he called it his "wa wa"...don't know where that came from!! My daughter didn't really have any funnny names that I remember. Thanks again. :)
Thank you for the wonderful kit.
Thanks for the awesome kit. You make such beautiful things. I appreciate you sharing your creations.
Thanks so much for this beautifull kit!
Thank You for the final piece to a great set...I am looking forward to starting on this one...not sure what just yet but had to have this beautiful set for something special....I will have to think fast as I have just finished a LO with your 'UR My Sweetheart' set....I used it for a baby girl page as her favourite colours are green and pink.
The weather...it is sad that Mother Nature is providing us with adverse weather all over....If people in the past couldn't see into the future as to the damage that can be done shorely we all can now, and will prevent any worse scenerios to happen in our now future...I doubt though that enough people will care enough to put their own needs aside to assist in preparing to resolve this dilema.
Here in Queensland Australia where we should be in our rain season, the opposite is happening, it is dry and the state is looking brownish instead of beautiful, green and healthy.
Thank you very much for the wonderful kit!
Thank you for the really nice kit. I hope that I will be able to do layout with it soon. Been busy trying to organize my digi files.
The weather etc. God is the one who is in control. Al Gore, a lot of what he is advocating is based on bad science and he only presents one side of the issue. I cannot take him seriously.
I really like this kit. I haven't ever made anything digital before so I am a little hesitant to begin. This kit should get me started!
Thank you. Another great kit!
moki = milk
udy = judy (that was my brother)
uool = school
Thanks so much for another lovely kit. You are so great for sharing. Teresa
Jan,
Thanks for this last piece of this great kit. I really love it. And don't fret over what to put up next as everything you do is just beautiful and all will love it. Now for baby words, I have a little story to tell. I have a friend named Michelle. For my youngest as a baby it was a very hard name to say. After a while she called her foodat. No one could understand how she got foodat from michelle. Then one day it dawned on me. Every time Michelle would come over we would say who's that and that is why she called her foodat. LOL. Anyway she is still called that today.
We have had no freezes here in Florida, yet, but I know it will freeze eventually. We need it to kill the bugs...lol.
Thank you for the last 2 parts of Grandpa and Me. It sure is pretty Janni, you've done a wonderful job on it.
Words that kids use..it's been so long. I remember my neice used to say focolate for chocolate, and my son called his toy trucks frucks, and he called his sister Ainjer, and her name is Angel.
Such a great kit.. Thank you for all the beautiful goodies.. Always love your kits.
Weather here is bad.. Sleeting all day and the streets are freezing and causing bad accidents. I hear we are supposed to get around 10 inches of snow but I really doubt it. I am also hoping we don't!
Reading what others have posted here made me think of what boy my sons called Skunks to them they were Kunks.. My youngest son called Forks Finks.. And my oldest for the word stingy was chinche. If my mom were up I could probably list many here as she remembers more than I do and uses these words herself often. Funny to think about this stuff, makes you remember when they were babies and innocent. :)
Thank you for this wonderful kit.
Thank you for #6, Janni! :)
Our weather is strange this past year and continuing this winter. June, July and August we had flooding every day somewhere here in New Mexico and this is the desert! And now, we are on our 3rd major snowstorm.
