The Husband Saga continues...and a FREEBIE

OK, so while DH is home recovering from the knee surgery, "we" think it would be a good time for him to have his colonoscopy. He has done nothing but complain about the prep for this thing for months. He complained so much that his doctor gave him the easier prep with less time spent not being able to eat. So I make the jello, get the broth but since he doesn't like those things, he is just going to have nothing. I explain the issue of dehydration and the effects of the prep meds but does he believe his wife, who was a nurse for 25 years? NO. Last evening there is a crash in the hall and I get there to find him on the floor so weak that he can not even stand, moaning and groaning about his stomach cramps and lamenting about how hard this has been! (I, meanwhile, am thinking about haven given birth to 2 children, suffered years with severe monthly cramps, the joys of menopause, the 4 surgeries in the past 3 years, the arthritis, fibro and chronic fatigue, maintaining a house, working full time and raising a family and wonder how I am not screaming at this man to get a grip and grow up!) But, I "lovingly" bring him some Gatorade, which he takes a sip of, help to his feet and to bed, encourage him to eat some jello before midnight but even after passing out, does he listen? NO! I mean, my mother, whose is 86 just went through this and I didn't here a peep from her! This getting him healthy is killing me and he has 4 more weeks before he goes back to work!

Anyway, several people have asked how I made the burlap with the frayed edge and although I cannot remember how I made the burlap I did do up a little "tut" about the frayed edge. Now keep in mind that I am not a tut writer but it will get you through it and you can have all the frayed edges you want! You can download it here. Sorry, download no longer available

Also, I did up a couple of desktop calendars for November using the Fall Splendor kit. One has an open space for your icons and the other is for those of you that have the uncluttered desktop. I hope you enjoy them! Download no longer available.

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Have a great day and after you are through here, check out my Scrappin Buddies Blogs...links over there on the left. Both Beth and Anita have some beautiful goodies to grab if you haven't already! Huggers to you all!

These are beautiful desktop calendars! Thanks!!

It never ceases to amaze me what babies men are when they're sick and that they never listen to the doctor (if one is lucky enough to get them to one!) or our advice. But if they hear something on TV or from one of their friends, it becomes gospel. :)
