Remember me???

I am sorry about not being on much lately. Things here are very tough with both 'men' moving out. I go from being a blubbering fool to angry to numb and then, it all starts again. I haven't had migraines in years and now they are back! I would love for Calgon to take me away but, seriously, I don't think there is a box big enough!

When I get upset, I clean! Well, somethings you can't get clean enough so then I think about painting and then you paint and the next section looks dirty so you keep painting but being slightly ADHD I can't seem to get one project finished before I am thinking about something else. So, that is what I have been doing...cleaning, painting, crying, throwing out, trying to hold it together and not doing well at any of it! LOL! Think I am going to put all my prized possessions in a bandanna, tie it in a knot to a stick, sling in over my shoulder and run away! Can't think of any place I can afford to run away to though! LOL! Well, if you see an old lady walking on the side of the road that looks lost...pick her up, it might be me!

Since it is the men in my life that are causing all this upheaval, here is a kit for them!
"Built Tough"

Sorry, link has expired

And the sampler....

Sorry, link has expired

I don't know how I forget the frame in the zip but I did!! (Thank-you, Joyce, for letting me know!) so if you have already downloaded the sampler, the frame is now in the same folder for you! Sorry!!!

Thank you all for the nice emails that many of you have sent lately. Although I don't feel much like chatting, I do appreciate them! Hopefully, normalcy will return soon!

I wish I had some advice or consoling words, but I am just a few years older than your children, so I still remember how exciting it is to move out and have a place of your own. My mother turned to cleaning, also, to distract her from the empty nest. It seems to me, however, that you take great pleasure in digiscrapping and designing (despite the headaches recently), so please keep it up. Your designs are so lovely and, as evidenced by your member QPs, are quite inspirational with regards to creativity in others. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gifts.

Sorry to hear that your feeling so down. Guess we just have to look at the kids leaving as another stage of life they go through. Doesn't make it any easier though does it mom. As the saying goes..."they'll be back"! And thanks for all your hard work on this set. Its such a nice one to have for the boys and men. If a hug would help I'm sending a big squishy one.

Things can seem to be overwelming at times, and we think we cannot go on, but something always happens to turn our minds. You usually don't look too far until you can see someone worse off than yourself. It will take time to change your day but your scrapping will fill some of the void for awhile. Love the kit thanks so much for sharing, and smile when you can. Keep up the good work. Hugs

your comment made me think of this cute story... when my cousin (who is in her sixties now) was a little girl, she wanted to run away from home. My mom (who lived with them at the time)packed her a bandanna with a change of clothes and her favorite stuffed toy. My cousin went on her way and returned in a few minutes saying, "But auntie, I'm not big enough to cross the street."

Ah, the empty nest syndrome - I'm going throught that now. My youngest is a sophomore in college. It's very hard in the beginning when they leave but you do get used to it. It's wonderful when they come home for break :-) I wish you peace with this. Thank you for the adorable kit :-)

Thank you so much for another wonderful creation. It will be perfect for the grandsons photos since I always tend to scrap the girls. Sorry to hear you are feeling blue, but God will see you though, as He does with everything. Thank you for sharing your creative energy with us.

What a great kit! I'm so sorry that you are feeling so blue. It never happened to me when my daughter left, she was still close by. But I know when I left home, I went from Oregon to Germany and my Mom cried for 2 weeks. (Something that I didn't know until years later) As young people, you are so excited about moving on with your life that it doesn't cross your mind that the ones left behind might not feel the same.

I do have an idea.... you can come clean my house and you will be right as rain in 2 weeks....lol
I don't clean when I'm sad, happy, sick, well... I just hate it every which way..... huggs...
