Saturday! Saturday!

I didn't mean to stir up things so much with my rant yesterday but I am glad that so many of you agree! Unfortunately, it is like reading the news, the negative always gets the headlines, the squeaky wheel gets oil, etc! One of the big complaints about the gals from DSO is that they are doing this to promote their store! Now how stupid is that? Duh! Called advertising and marketing! People major in this in college so they know how to do it! I doubt that this was the only reason they are doing it and even if it is, good for them! They are promoting by GIVING you something for free, how do you lose with that one! Would you rather have them be like telemarketers that just hound you and give you nothing? Funny thing happened yesterday after I posted....went to the mailbox and found that I had received a free sample from Oil of Olay...some new cream! I was outraged, I tell ya! Who do they think they are? Giving me a free sample of something! What do they want me to do, try it and find out I like it so I will buy from them!!!??? I think I should send them a nasty letter and tell them never to give anything away again, it is just a way to sell their product! Unless they are willing to just give me their entire product line for NOTHING, do not ever send me another sample...just a money making scheme! See...now how dumb is it to complain about these gals from DSO? Unfortunately, the few people that this applies to, don't even read the blogs they download from...so you guys that do appreciate all the freebies out there have to suffer through my rant! Sorry! So end of subject...I sure do appreciate all my regulars. If this whole hoopla had to happen, at least there was some good that came out of it...my renewed appreciation for those of you that I call friends!

The weather has been strange for this time of year...cool and breezy. Almost too cool to close the windows but yet, not. But ,certainly cool enough to pull a sweatshirt on. Very nice but just a little strange for this time of year. I guess every season will be bringing us new surprises now with all this global warming stuff! Who knows, maybe all you Southern Gals will be begging to come up North for the nice warm weather someday! Well, all I have to say about that is "come on up!" Wouldn't that be a hoot! But on your way up, keep an eye out for a little woman on a John Deere! That would be Pugsli..she offered to drive up here on one if I got thrown into the pokey to bail me out! Did anyone else see a movie about a little old man that took a trip on a lawn tractor? Or am I crazy? Seems to me like he was going to visit an old friend but I can't remember the name of the movie. Was talking about it to Pugsli the other night and it has been bugging me since!

So, You've Got Male" is all done...walking out the door so to speak..hope he takes the trash out on his way! I have a couple, nope a few QP for you today and then I have to put on my thinking cap and either come up with something new or finish up some laggers on my hard drive! Maybe, I will find one that I have finished and forgotten about! The last QP is one that I did a LO for that birthday party for. I save the frayed corner to a file called "Add-on" so check back...there will definitely be more to this kit!

Download no longer available...sorry!

Thanks for the DSO praises! Actually, I think it all started out as a moral booster for us designers, then it just snowballed!! LOTS of fun, I must say! Thank you for the great freebies!!

"so you guys that do appreciate all the freebies out there have to suffer through my rant!"

I for one didn't suffer! I read your blog every time you post (I subscribe to it thru bloglines) I don't download very many freebies at all but I DO ENJOY READING the blogs... and since I went thru the same kind of things on my blog it was very good to read all the rants I have about this... I vented on my blog at the time but is sure seemed like I was venting again! Then my sister called and I vented to her about all that you all were going through... so I vented well in the last few days!!! LOL

Hope you have a WONDERFUL day and weekend!

Really enjoyed your "rant" about Oil of Olay ! Just goes to show how stupid those folks look who complained about the "war"...LOL,
Thanks again for all the great freebies you give us !
I count all of your creations among my very favorites ;-))

Wonderful Saturday afternoon to say Hello & thanks for all the wonderful goodies that we receive from you. Such a wonderful grouping of QPs with all the boy toys & color mixture. So nice. Thanks for the wonderful page kits that are arranged so handsomely on your blog. HUGS!!!

These are really great QPs I love the colors and everything. THank you so much for sharing. The rant was not a problem by the way you were one of many on that track. I cant count how many blogs I read and comment on regularly that had the same thing as a topic. I think its calming now but we will see..thanks again

Don't worry about the rant it's stupid the reasons to criticize the DSO girls and more stupid the reasons to do what they did with Serena.

Thanks so much for the quick pages, they are great as the rest of the kit. :)

Have a great weekend and best wishes. :o)

I love these quick pages! The first one with the stuff hanging from the pegboard is so perfect for my hubby. What a neat layout idea! Thank you so much!

I love your graphics and I love your blob.. You can really tell it like it is... (Olay-lol). There must be a new group of people rolling thru the scrapbooking world as this problem seems to come in waves. Surely it's not the same "silly" people (ok, can't think of a name that can go into print...lol...)

I so love this kit..... thank you!!

Hi Jannidee, I'm one of the DSO designers and just wanted to say thanks to YOU for your eloquent words. You put it so succintly! I know that the vast majority of people appreciate our freebies, and we do enjoy making them too, but like you said - we don't want people lacking gratitude to ruin it for everyone. It's a huge blow to motivation when we actually see, in black and white, the negative comments we've been getting. Thanks for supporting us, it helps keeps us going!

BTW, you have some AWESOME items on your blog - kudos!

Hugs,
Darlene

Thanks Jan for these quickpages. I look at them and see that curly ribbon arrow piece and I have to tell you that I just love that. It is so unique, I have never seen anyone do one like that. I also love the other elements in this kit but that one is my favorite.

Well... I NEVER! The nerve of Oil of Olay! Even our "real" mail boxes are not safe from this kind of assault. I agree, and think you should complain! *LOL* I also agree, that the complainers probably never even read the blogs. They just take and run. :o( Anyhoo...Thanks for todays QP's Love 'em all.

Janni,
I did not suffer thru your rant I agree with you totally and I wouldn't miss reading your blog. You know what to say and how to say it. I just hope it gets thru to some of the people out there that don't know a good thing when they see it.
Thanks for the kit,
Mickey

I watched that movie you were talking about. It is called "The Straight Story". It is based on the true story of Alvin Straight's journey across Iowa on a lawnmower. LOL.

I agree with you on the weather it's been weird this year. Thanks so much for the qp's. And yes Oil of Olay needs a letter especially from a young lady that doesn't even need their product yet. Hee hee. Thanks, Teresa

I love the masculine stuff.

Thank you for your wonderful crations and your stories, I like them just as much.

Sorry to write again but I had been wondering where I could post a thank you to you and tonight I had decided to click on comments to read them and there I seen this box to type a message, I just wanted to let you know that had I known where to post I would have done this a few weeks back when I first found your stuff.
