Heh! It's my Birthday!

Thank you all for the get well wishes...they must have worked because I feel so much better today! Doesn't it just figure while we are having hot weather, I would get sick with a temperature so I could be even hotter! (Linda, that card was so cute...thanks a bunch!)

Guess what today is??? My birthday! We won't go into age here, suffice to say...OLD! I couldn't think of anyway to celebrate it...was going to give something away for free but...gee, already do that! LOL! My daughter's old college roommate's birthday is also today so she and I drove up to their area about and hour away and went out to lunch with her and her mother, who I never had met. We had such a good time and had the most delicious drink...a frozen almond joy! Yum! Seemed weird to be having a drink with my daughter and her friends but I got over it real quick! Tomorrow, the family are all going out to dinner so no big celebration but that's just the way I like it. I hate to be the center of attention! Got the shock of a life time this morning when my DH called after we were already on the road and said, "I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday!" The first year we were together, my birthday fell right on Memorial Day and we had gone to a parade. So, he knows that my birthday is near some day that they usually have a parade! One year, my birthday came and went without a word from him but on July 4th, he gave me a card and took me out to dinner! DUH! Well, I guess the thought was there. It about killed me for almost 2 months not to say something to him but I wanted to see just how long it would take him to remember that he had forgotten! The kicker is that he was just so proud of himself like he had done such a good thing! I almost didn't have the heart to tell him that my birthday was NOT the 4th of July! BUT, I did!

Heh! Did you check out Candee's blog? She's got an Amber Waves of Grain Kit that would go so nicely with Old Glory! While you are there, please read her post about Memorial Day! I love reading her blog...she really has a gift for provoking thoughts! She seems to be able to sum up how I feel about things in a way that I would never be able to do! HUGS..Candee!

And, I say we all sneak over to Anita's and steal the Goddess! She is just too creative for me! I really wish I had her gift for doodling and word art! I keep asking her how she keeps thinking of theses things and all she says is "that's the problem, I don't think!"

JoAnn has got some gorgeous flowers on her blog. She is another lady I admire so talented and so nice. She has a nice vintage touch to her designs which is another thing I can't seem to pull off! My other good buddy Beth, I can't seem to get to her blog. I keep getting an error but she is pretty busy planning a wedding right now for her daughter. But she has some amazing stuff and it was her blog that inspired the folded doilies.

So...now to finish up Friendship Rose. By the way, the rose itself was a shape that has a file name of pspfun_allerlei. I have tried to find the site so I could give a link to it but can't so if this is your shape or you know the site let me know.

Download no longer available...sorry!

That's all for now. Have a great weekend and for those that celebrate Memorial Day have a fun and safe holiday and take some time to say a prayer for the service men, past, present and future, that protect our country and for their families!

All good birthdays are in May, right? Mine is on the 31st and I've always felt it was the best day of the year! Except for Christmas....and Thanksgiving.... and the 4th of July....and Memorial Day...LOL. I have always loved the fact that my birthday is next to the "REAL" Memorial Day. Used to be that the 30th was full of celebrations and traditions so my birthday felt like two big days instead of one. Anyway...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And I'm so glad you are feeling better. Thanks for the lovely kit, too. It's beautiful.

My husband was the same way BUT as a late Birthday & Christmas present he bought me my little Foxy Bear for Christmas 2000.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to our Designing Genius. Happy Birthday to you.

Love the separation of the rose, the fabulous ribbons, and tags that gives us an element group beyond comparison. As you stated, that rose is just so fantastic. Its beauty just wraps you in warmth & affection. The ribbons & tags patterns remind you of the joy of digital scrapping, versatility. Your niche in design is yours alone, & no one can take it from you. If everyone did the same thing expertly, then this would be shallow place indeed. You're the Bomb!! Leaving Love! XOXOXO

(I will never be able to catch up to scrap all your wonderful kits at the rate they are repairing my computer. I never thought to get this type of service from Sony.)

I have the terrible habit of typing very fast, which sometimes means big typos, and that is made worst when I sometimes send the message without rereading it. OOPS. So that is the reason of sending it twice, sorry about it. OOPS

Well this the original without typo this time ( I hope :))
"Well I know it's a bit late to wish you Happy Birthday, but anyway I just wanted to wish you a great day. I hope you had a great day with your daughter and her friends and it's really nice to hear you are feeling much better by now. :)

Thanks a million for this part of the kit, it's really nice and the rose it's wonderful. It's a really nice element with the effect of the kinda lead border around it. It looks like it's part of a stained window. :)

Happy birthday and best wishes. :o)"
