but this time I REALLY mean Brrrrr...

I know I said it before but this time I really mean Brrrr...! All my complaining that we haven't had any snow and we needed some real cold for the flowers and such but! This cold snap is starting to wear a little thin with me! Who's my Alaska gal? How do you do this? Come on now! 6 degrees???

Please, say a prayer for one of my best friends and her family. They had a house fire Sunday night and although everyone is safe, their house was badly damaged. She doesn't allow her son to smoke in the house so he went out on the deck to have a cigarette and, apparently, with the wind, blew a spark into the wood pile that is there for their fireplace and caught the whole back of the house on fire. She is the one going through a tough time with her son...when it rains, it pours! I hate when bad things happen to such good people!

Okay...so like I said....sick of this cold so I had this kit sitting on my hard drive that I did awhile back and it just seems like something to brighten up my mood and warm up my disposition!

It is called "Sunshine and Lollipops" and is filled with, I think, some unique embellishments! So get your download finger ready and get out those summertime photos of your kids and get ready!! Her is the preview of the paper pack, 12 papers and vellum sheet! For all you pastel lovers...

Download no longer available...sorry!

Now, to answer some questions...

How did I make the bowl for the candy? You can make glass in any shape you want. In PSP (which is all I know) just make the shape, select it, new layer and using Eye Candy5 Impact, select glass apply the plug in to the selected shape. The drop shadow gets a little tricky since it will darken your glass, so what I did was apply the drop shadow on a new layer to the original shape. Then select your shape again, modify and contract by a few pixels, got to your shadow layer and delete the shadow that is in the center of the shape leaving just the ring. Make sense? Clear as mud, I know but it makes sense when you do it!

Little plastic bags used on preview cards...same way, then apply a texture to the "glass".

Where do I get my ideas? Who the heck knows? Here, there and everywhere! Sometimes it is just a color combo I see, sometimes just playing with a filter will lead to something, sometimes a pic will lead to a theme. Addiction is a crazy thing...can't look at anything without thinking Scrap! "I *Heart* Country" actually was a dream! I dreamt I made a curtain valance...and had to see if it was possible! Sick, I know...you would think with Officer Goodbody, I would have a little more exciting dreams!!

Gotta go. I am going to go see my friend and see if taking care of her dog is something I am going to be able to do for her. He is large Black Lab, very old and diabetic. Hopefully, not too much for me to handle but with 2 dogs and a cat already, it might not be a possibility...my house is not that large!

Have a great day, my friends, stay warm and safe!

So sorry to hear about your friend & the fire being a retired firefighter, I know things like this can be very devasting will put them in my prayer's!
Fighting fire's in the exteme cold isn't easy, my Fire Co responded to a 2 alarm yesterday in a nearby town and the temp was 10 degrees but was even colder than that with the wind chill factor! I'm just thankful for the people that do this since it is volunteer!
Thank you so very much for sharing the beautiful BG's for your new kit, they do brighten up my day! LOL

I can't believe it, I get to be first to post to you-YEAH!!!! Anyway, the kit is wonderful!!!!!!and makes me long for Spring. Again, you have outdone yourself! I really don't know how you do it, but I sure am thankful you do!!!!!
I guess you can't tell I'm probably your biggest fan!!
I've been about to croak to tell you that not only do I have a Jannidee wallpaper but I also have a Jannidee screen saver. Somewhere surfing on the web I found a screensaver that is just snow falling and lets the wallpaper show through. It is sooo
pretty. I just love it I have my beautiful February wallpaper showing with just a hint of soft snow falling. Sounds appropriate doesn't it?
Now I don't want to make you jealous but we are at a balmy 52 degrees down here in North Alabama.
We have had a good little cold snap but it seems to be warming up so "come on down".
Your friends will be in my prayers and I will also ask my church to pray for them.
Well, gotta go, I'm cooking chicken and I have to go tend to it. Talk to ya later.
Hugs to ya.

Something can change your life's circumstances at a drop of a hat or in this case a drop of a spark.
I have your friends on my prayer list and shall send healing thoughts for them in this troublesome time.

Thank you for these beautiful pastel papers! I just love all of your work. Eeeek! 6 degrees is pretty cold! Very rarely does it get that cold in Texas, fact is it's a balmy 66 degrees today. Problem living here is the hotter than Hades heat in the summer :( I will pray for your friend. Hope ya'll have a good day!

By now I hope everything is cleared up for your friend after the fire. I was in a fire as a child & for the longest time, I smelled smoke from that fire. So if there are small kids, I hope someone has talked with them.

Now thanks again for giving us a dl hint because you have to remove some of your gorgeous kits for space. After viewing this far, I can fully understand why. Oh my gosh everything is just so perfect for family. So again, thanks for the lovely papers & the sunburst vellum sheet. ;)
