A little something....

You would think that when I wanted to do a LO or something that I would have something to work with since my hard drive is bursting but somehow that is never the case! Last weekend when we went to the cabin, my friend who has been living the year from hell came up with her youngest son for a much needed respite. Things have not been going well for her and Friday night she had just gotten another load dumped on her so I was thrilled when she took me up on my offer of a weekend in the mountains! To see her SO relaxed was such a thrill for me! Anyway, she had found this quote that she liked and last night asked if I could print it up 'nice' for her. LOL! She should know me well enough that I just don't type some words on a page and print that out! Got to embellish!! But, when I thought about it, all I could picture was her sitting in the lounge chair reading and smelling the pig roasting and, quite frankly, relaxing in what we call God's country and giving her troubles over to Him for a few days. I just couldn't find anything that seemed to fit so a new kit is being born. This just reminds me of the rustic nature of the cabin and the warm comfort that I feel knowing that she is my friend. I love the quote and I thought I would share it with you all. So many of you are going through your own rough patches...I hope you find some comfort in these words!

You should be able to right click and save it.

And, while I was at it...I did a LO using the same kit. Haven't come up with a name yet. Thinking of Cabin Retreat but that kind of sounds lame. Any suggestions??

While I have you....I received an email from Grambie's son today letting me know that she is in the hospital again. Please add her to your prayers. Such a wonderful lady that ALWAYS has a kind word. She should not have to go through all that she is and how she keeps her wonderful spirit is something that I admire!

I love this saying, and the page with the window is lovely. The beginning of this kit promises a terrific kit when it is finished. As for a name, how about Rustic Peace.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for the wonderful freebie. As for the name, I was going to say you already named it with 'a slice of heaven', but I think I like Rustic Peace even better. I feel the same way in our RV when we are enjoying nature. Can't wait to see this kit either!

How about "A Bit of Heaven"? I hope you offer us that LO as a QP. I have pictures from my window of all 4 seasons looking out on the bay. In summer there are sailboats and wildlife and in the winter kids skating. The spring gives us the beautiful lilacs and the fall the glorious colours of the leaves. I'd love to be able to use your LO to plop in one of these photos. Thanks for all you give us.

oh, I forgot to leave you with my thought for titling your layout. well both of them.

I say "My Serenity" .. because it seems to me, my dear, that that is where you seem to find your serenity.

Oh it makes me want to go there too! I think'A Peaceful Cabin Retreat' would be a fitting name. I'd like to have a place to go like that just to get away for some alone time. You're blessed!

I would love to stay and catch up more on your latest kit, but I fear I must get back to being busy with Hurricane Ike preparations. We are so not wanting a visitor in Texas right now! *rumble grumble*

What a great set, Jannidee! I will have to download it late. Since we camp often, this will come in handy on my scrapbook pages!

P.S. Prayers for your Mom so that she will eat and be able to come home.

When I read this post it brought tears to my eyes. My mother sent me a bookmark years ago with this quote on it. I was going through a difficult time in my life and I kept it taped above my kitchen sink where I could read it everyday. It was such a comfort to me. When I saw this post it brought back memories of my Mother's love.

I am so sorry your friend is having such a difficult year and happy that she got away with you. I know it probably helped her a lot to have a friend like your during this time.

So sorry to hear Gambie is back in the hospital. I will add her to my prayers along with your friend.

I love this kit, Janice. It is wonderful.

Thank you, hugs, and prayers.
