It's all about the guys today!

DH will be leaving shortly with the truck to go help DS move home! Yippee! I really am so excited for him to be home. I wish he didn't have the knee surgery facing him but at least Dr. Mom will be here to spoil him! He is scheduled for October 5th and he is so nervous about it. He is not nervous about the pain just the anesthesia. I tried to explain that they will not be knocking him out completely, just a 'twilight' stage but now he thinks he will be able to hear everything! Men! Seems the bigger they are (and DS is a BIG guy) the more of a softie they are! He has made me promise that I won't leave the hospital while he is in surgery so I guess I had better find a good book to settle in with!

Just about finished with his room and now need to figure out what I am going to make for his "first" supper! Think I spoil my kids just a little? Yep! But, not too much...they really are great kids. Neither have given us much trouble and even if they weren't mine, I would still like them as people. Turned out pretty good in spite of DH and me!! When you read or hear about all the stuff that parent's do that can impact your kids without even knowing it, it is a wonder that any kids turn out okay!

As promised, I have a new kit for you! Maybe it is anticipation of all the extra testosterone that will be moving in but I seem to be gravitating to kits for the guys lately! There really are so few kits out there for them though so I hope you don't mind!! It is called...'It's a Guy Thing'. Suppose I should have included a little remote control or a toilet seat left up since those are "guy things" but thought that would be tacky!! LOL! What is you pet peeve with guy things? I would have to say mine is the remote control/DVR...why when something is being recorded do we still have to stop it and check what is on other channels? You end up with the program you record in 3-4 pieces! Thankfully, I record most everything on MY TV or I would have to really harm him!

Some quickpages for you....

Sorry, I have been up for 3 months so I have been removed.

The "It's a Guy Thing Sampler"

Sorry, I have been up for 3 months so I have been removed.

And, just another little reminder...memberships will be closing on October 1st so you just have a few more days to join. By joining now you will still get the kits that have been offered since September 1st as well as those that follow...and let's not forget that by being a member you get all those quickpages from other members! If you need information about the membership, click Membership Information in the margin on the left and it will give you all the details!

Well...I am off! Have a great day! I might get some time to pop in during the weekend but if not, have a great weekend and see you on Monday!

Thank you for this lovely kit!

If you're still in guy mode after this how about a sports theme for a suggestion, and please include hockey for us Cannucks out here...LOL.

And just another thought not that you don't get enough already you could add some girls sports too, ballet, dancing, skating etc. just to name a few.

I love the new kit! The colors are fab!

My prayers are with you and your son I'm sure all will go well with the surgery....Lucy Goosie.

Thanks so much for this wonderful kit. I love these deep jewel tones. And I agree with Lucy that a sports kit would be great. I'm another Canuck who would like some hockey. lol And in your list for girl's sports, my granddaughter also plays hockey. And does gymnastics.
Welcome home to your son and good luck with his surgery.

Love the guy kit, and you're right; there aren't a lot of them out there, so this is great! The remote thing would have been a hoot...my DH takes it with him when he goes to the bathroom!!! So glad your son will have you to spoil and take care of him during his recovery!

Great kit! Thank you!! I still think a remote and toilet seat left up would be great. Lets see, since I have an x-logger for a husband. There could be log rolling. lol...

Another great kit! Lots of guy pictures to scrap, so this will be perfect. As far as Guy Things: socks on the floor, switching channels without asking, and always asking "where is my..." before even looking for it. BUT, my hubby is a real sweety and I will keep him. Thanks again for another fab kit.

Janni, he will always be your boy regardless of his age and you will always be his Mother Dear. My youngest son is 44. When he comes over with his family, he beats them to my bed, TV, and remote. He still ask for certain foods including fried chicken which his elder brother by 2 yrs cooks for them.) Your DS has already given you your working orders, so you have to set your schedule to accomodate his hospital stay. That is so cute and so loving. Oh My Goodness!!!!

KUDOS!! The textures and the deep colors that are shown in the ribbon collection are so perfect, beautiful, yet masculine all the way. You just want to reach out and touch because of its so realistic appearance. I love fabrics and these are the best. Love the beautiful metal choices as well as those kaleidoscope ovals with their beautiful colorful swirls. It is always a fruitful surprise when I see your gorgeously designed downloads. You know a person could get real use to this. Just remember, you created your own monsters.!! Give everyone my love and definitely will send an extra prayer for your DS. DD is doing fine, she is in LUV!!! and don't you forget it. That is so cute and precious. I love it because you and your children communicate through love and understanding. That is what keeps a family together. HUGS!!!

You're definitely thrilled with your son coming back home. :) About the surgery anyone would be scare, it's not really nice going through surgery, or at least in my opinion. If I can I take local anaesthetic instead of general when doing something surgery like. I don't like the idea of being completely sleep and not having the opportunity of waking up if something happens. :)

The new kit is really nice and very masculine. Thanks so much for it.:)

Best wishes. :O)

Hi.:)
This is mostly about your son...although I absolutely love your designs and feel soo fortunate to be able to get them when I can.:)Thank you.!
I had to get surgery on my ankle..(broke it in three places)years and years ago.The Docs told me that they would be putting metal and screws(they had to put seven in) in it and that I would be awake for it.Well..they neglected to tell me that they had to put a (how do you spell..turn a kit?LOL) on my thigh before surgery and also that I would be hearing a drill..the size my husband uses in his work shop. When they started that up..I lost it.LOL They had to put me to sleep.LOL I got the shakes.Maybe your son would do better if he asks the Doc to tell him what noises to expect etc.At least he won't wet his pants in front of everyone along with the knee surgery.LOL I have no idea if I wet mine or not..as soon as I got the shakes they knocked me out.I know..what a baby..but I didn't know if it was a drill or a saw.LOL

Hugs,
Valinda
