Tag Sale is OVER!

Rewind to a couple of weeks ago when DH decided he was going to have a tag sale. I told him not to expect too much, that they were more work than they were worth BUT, heh, if it got this junk out of my house...go for it! Well, now he is walking around here like he has had the revelation of a life time that tag sales are not the way to make a million! We made maybe $200 and now he wants to take some of what is left to this huge flea market. Oh, what the heck...I'm game! Mainly because I love flea markets! Men!!! And that is all I have to say about that!

Some very strange people come to tag sales. Several times I had to excuse myself and go into the house to keep from laughing! God Bless my husband and his people skills because he is so much better at dealing with people than I am! I really think that that is what got him through 3 days of this...he got to chat! Some guys that came were into hunting and he would drag them in the house to see all his mounts and guns, then there were those that were really into antiques and he would bring them in to see some of the pieces we had that were not for sale that he had refinished. Like a jerk...I was trying to get my kitchen floor washed and polished...finally had to give up on that idea! But, I figured if I was busy inside, the less time I had to spend out there with the crazies! But, I did have a bunch of old crafting stuff out there and got to talk to a bunch of crafters so not all of them were nutty! Years ago I was into crafts big time and had asked my husband where he thought I could get some bottle caps to make pins out of. I was only looking for a couple of hundred, he went to a bottling company and bought a case of 5000! Some lady saw them and you would have thought she struck gold! She said how she had been looking for them and didn't know where she could get them in bulk and bought the whole box! She explained what she wanted them for and I ended up giving her a couple of the pins I had made for samples.

Grammie...so sorry but the iron was sold. If I had known earlier, I would have pulled it out and mailed it to you. Would have preferred it go to someone I cared about!

So, I jumped on this morning after going through withdrawals all weekend and checked my blog! Wow! I guess you liked this kit! This was one of those kits that I wasn't sure about. Wasn't sure of the colors or the theme but I thought what the heck someone MIGHT like it! See? You never can tell when you design a kit!

And, I got my first check from the link I have for Shutterfly! I had really forgotten all about it and then on Saturday I got a check in the mail! Believe me, I am not going to get rich off of it but I do like their product so I don't have a problem advertising for them. In case you don't know about it, click on the Shutterfly button and check out their site. lots of people have ordered books from them and have been VERY impressed with the quality and their service. I think I will put the check towards ordering a book from them when I get an album completed. Really, when you add it all up between buying an album, the paper, the ink, or if you have your pages printed, the cost is very comparable to what they charge and their books take up a lot less shelf space! Thank you to those that went through my link to purchase!

Some of you may remember that we are getting a new little kitten...well, my daughter is. She comes tomorrow, her name is Lily and my daughter leaves Wednesday for vacation! What is wrong with this picture! So, I get to monitor the acclimation period and she gets to come home after all the fuss is over! Something is amiss in Who-ville! Mom is getting the nasty end of the stick, yet again! Hmmmmm! Better get a nice prezzie from her vacation! She and her old roommate are going to Newport for a couple of days and then spending a few days with my son. So, they are both looking forward to it. Never thought that the two of them would learn to enjoy each other the way that they do now. It is so nice to see how they have grown up and grown close to one another. I love it when they are together and could just sit and watch them for hours. The really LIKE one another!

I do have a kit for you today. This one I did a while ago for a challenge for Mothers. I especially like the charm and ribbon slide since all mothers are angels! The overlay is all the different ways to say mother and is a separate file so you can use it with any paper.....hope you enjoy!

Sorry...no longer available

OH! and Carolyn...I would love to have those vintage needle packs! Send them to me and I will upload here for everyone! Thanks! And, did you get that problem fixed with the pngs?

I love the design and the colors. But I love all your stuff. I guess I can admit it...I too, am a pack rat. I buy things "JUST IN CASE" and so I have tons of just in case stuff. I mean this has been going on for years. LOl. I just can't get the energy for a tag sale. Don't know where to start first!!!
Thanks for the kit. I always look forward to any of your work.

Another pretty kit Jan, thanks so much. The papers and ribbon are just so pretty but I especially love the flower swirls. And come on tell the truth now, you are just so excited about the little kitty coming. A little baby kitten, this is when they are at their cutest and you will have it all to yourself. I hope that you are feeling good.

So glad your sale is over. Your prices I know were rock bottom judging from prices you listed. I hope you can have a little rest from that and then when dh is ready, on you go for another fun session. "SMILE."

Thanks for the lovely kit for Mother Dear. Love all the plaid patterns along with that fabulous text overlay. A fantastic idea to leave it as an overlay and it can be added to any paper of choice. I told you that you always had those little extras in your design even at an earlier time in your designing. I just can't resist your designs nor visiting your blog. Leavin LUV! XOXOXO

4shared must be acting up again, I can't get the link to work. I hate missing any of your beautiful stuff so I will come back later and try again. I don't understand why 4shared has to be like this. It sure can be tempermental.
Loved your outlook on people who come to tag sales. There are people out there who go to every one they can find and buy the strangest things. I often wonder what they do with the stuff, but never had the guts to ask them. LOL

Well at least the tag sale was fun and had funny and nice moments. :) And the new kitten will quite likely give you the chance to make nice layouts. :)

love your stuff girl. Thanks for all your generosity.

How did you go about getting the Shutterfly link thingy and make money on that, how cool is that!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful kit.

Please be careful and make sure your doors are locked. My uncle bragged about his guns and showed them off. Someone, broke into his home and took all the guns--even from his secret hiding spaces--but nothing else. He thinks it may have been a "friend." Makes you wonder what else a "friend" is capable of. Sorry to scare you. Just be careful.

I so enjoyed reading about your tag sale. It definitely made me realize why I never have one, LOL. My kids fought like cats and dogs growing up, but now I think they talk more to one another than they do to me. Just happy they are there for one another. The kit is beautiful and can't wait to get it downloaded.

This kit is so beautiful. many many thanks. I have never heard of tag sales I think we call them garage sales. What we do for our children. I remember looking after my daughters tamagochi (think that is the spelling) Killed it a couple of times so I was popular.

I know you will enjoy the new kitten--just keep it away from your drapes. Many years ago, I had 3 new kittens that I got from my sister and came home to my brand new shears in shreds on my front window!

Very lovey kit. You have another winner. Thanks for sharing it.

Jenn, Hearing about the kid's growing closer as they grew and mautre, reminds me of my own daughters. They had horrid cat fights while growing up. Today they are as close as best friends.
Glad to here you survived, the tag sale.

Thanks for another great kit.
