More Country Charm

OMG! Sandra! Ya know, I thought when I was posting that bit about my allergy to melons, "why am I telling people this? Like this is something anyone is going to care about!" Now, I am so glad that I did. The only other thing I am allergic to is an antibiotic called doxicyclene. That sent me to the hospital also. No other food allergies though that I know of! Your daughter is the only other person I have ever heard of with this itching thing!

Don't get me going on School Boards! I have several family members and friends that are teachers and all I can say is God Bless them! Between having to deal with some of the lunatic parents out there AND having to bow to every whim of the Boards, some of them deserve metals! I say some because, unfortunately, some teachers are not worth their salt. But, I find that the ones that are good and care about education and the kids, are either eagerly waiting retirement or getting frustrated with the curriculum changes! My daughter also had "free" days where she didn't have any classes after 10 am and she was free to leave school! Thankfully, she was an good student and graduated with honors but so many just fall through the cracks and don't get a good education. She graduated with more credits than she needed because I didn't agree with all this "free" time. She actually only needed 2 classes during her senior year to graduate so she ended up taking some college level courses that she transferred when she got to college. But, too many kids just ended up hanging out at the local diner all day!

I HATE tag sales or I guess I should say, I HATE having them! Love going to them but the hassle of sorting through stuff and getting it all together then having to deal with what is left....humbug! I think my part is going to be very small indeed! I would rather box it all up and bring it to a shop we have in town that accepts all kinds of stuff and sells it to benefit the battered woman's shelter here. But, I do see DH's point about making a few dollars. With this weather and his painting, things are a little tight. Hard to paint when the paint is drying on the brush before you can get it on the house! Hopefully, this weather will break soon and he can get back to work in earnest! (And, get out from under my feet!) He wanders through the house, picking stuff up, saying "what about this?" Leave my dang stuff alone! Just cuz he doesn't see a need for it doesn't mean I don't! Men! I think I am going to start asking him the same thing about all his hunting/fishing stuff!!! LOL! I have a box of scrapping stuff and, no, I don't do any paper scrapping but I do use it for 'crafting'. He actually wanted to put that out.."well, I never see you use it!" He about lost a hand for that one! Back off, mister, you are now treading on thin ice!

I can't remember who it was asked for this kit in lilac...I went back to check to see if I still had the 'working files' for this so I could do it but I had deleted them. I don't know why I never think of lilac when I think of pastels. But, I now have a sticky on my monitor that says "Think Purple". I do the same thing with yellow but yellow is a hard color to get a nice shade to, at least I find it to be. I promise to try to do better in the future!
Today is the Green part, well, green and yellow since I don't see too many green flowers around! Hope you enjoy!

Still working on the Back to School kit...just keeps growing but I think you are going to like it. I think even without the school part, it is fun so check back it will be coming soon!

Have great day and thanks so much for all your comments...it makes my day to read them all!

Thanks so much for the kits, they're so pretty, loving the colours so far :)
Not sure if a 'Tag sale' is the same as a yard sale, but if it is, well I understand where you're comming from. My hubby decided to do one before we moved from this one house we were living in years back. He decided he wanted to sell my boxes of yarn!! OMG!! I told him, touch my yarn and I cut the hand off, lmao. Mind you I have a lot of boxes of yarn, but it's yarn that's been donated to me for charity work I do. Good grief, men are such pains, lmao, but once you start touching his things and saying, "how bout we sell this," he'll freak and leave your stuff alone. I've also had him say he was going to throw them out, lol. I don't want to have to move it again, grr... they just don't understand, lol.
Janni, just start tagging his stuff, he'll leave yours alone, lol.
Thanks again for all your wonderful kits.
Hugs, Lisa

I can't imagine not liking one of your kits! You have so much talent. Thank you for these Country Charm Kits - the colours are wonderful.

So looking forward to the Back To School kit - want to be ready to scrap the photos when the grandkids go back to school. Where I live that won't be till after the long weekend in Sept though so still have lots of time.

Hugs to you

I was so busy yesterday that I didn't even have time to go around to all the blogs I read. So today was double surprise day for me! Thanks so much for the lovely green and pink kits. I'm another one who loves the purples, especially with green. Actually there are very few colors I don't like. lol

Beautiful, thought that you wouldn't be able to surpass the pink and once again you did it. Maybe not surpass; however, equally exquisite. Thanks.
And don't let anyone touch your stuff. Just keep saying it's mine, it's mine and I'll do what I want with it.

Oh please, come over and grab some of my "stuff" to get rid of!! Somebody need to light a fire under my butt! We still have crap in the garage that had to come down from the attic from the 3 hurricanes that hit us a couple of years ago!! Thanks for the beautiful green part of this kit...I love it!

Grambie....Hope you are hanging in there!!!

So pretty with the green colors. A beautiful combination of color for sure. Love the addition of the yellow flowers so beautiful in their strong color and encircled so pretty with the lace edging.

I have never been to a tag sale but hoping it is the same as the tagged sales the department stores have here. A certain percentage of the already discounted price. That store is now taken over by Macys and it is not the same thing. I hope the weather changes to benefit your dh in his painting jobs. At the same time, giving you ample time to move your stash before he returns. LOL!

Have a lovely day. The temperature here is outrageously high and we have humidity problems with bad air to cope with also. I am allergic to most everything and anything. Definitely cannot go near seafood although I love it. Oh well, at the rate the government is letting the food poison us all, who knows what allergies we all will have.

Will return of course as often as I can to leave a little luv. Love to your family and friends.

My family continually tease me about my blog visits, and how I was worrying everyone in the hospital the other day following my Port-A-Cath insertion. Oh if I love visiting and it makes my day, so be it. HUGS!!!!

What a great chuckle I got. I could just see you taking your dh down over messing with your things. Your kits are beautiful and I really need to think about downloading before I get distracted again.

Jan I just love this country charm kit and especially the shade of green that you used. Thanks so much.

Love this green part! So pretty. Thanks a bunch. And, I know what you mean by getting rid of stuff. I still have all my paint books from when I tole painted. That was before my computer addiction! *LOL* Anyhoo, with that and all my other "I used to do" craft stuff; lets just say there's a lot. But, you never know when that wild hair will start growing, and I'll want to do that again. But, Sam is just as bad, so that means there's alot of unused crap hanging around! Oh well.

I wasn't going to download this kit because I'm NOT a pink person (excuse me, rose), but after seeing the kit in the green I decided I really did need the pink (excuse me, rose) part, too...thanks for showing me that maybe pink (excuse me, rose) has a place in my stash after all!

I do not have any allergy that I know but your itchiness and melon allergy story has remind me of the soreness in my throat after eating melon, reason by which I try to avoid it. :( I like eating it but it's not funny when it starts to feel like you are going to catch a cold and you get a sore throat. :( Fortunately for me it's not something I die for :) but it never occurred to me it could be an allergy. *shock*

Thanks so much for the mini kit in green, it looks terrific and it will surely combine very nicely with the other mini kits. :)

Best wishes. :O)
