Last part of Skool Dayz

LOL! Oh, going through a flare is not being sick just something that goes along with fibro. I haven't had a bad flare in awhile so I count myself lucky. Just bad timing with this Tag Sale to get ready for.

Our driveway is LOADED! Don't tell my hubby but even I wouldn't buy most of the (insert whatever word you would like that means junky junk!)! But he does have a lot of old stuff that a friend of ours that deals antiques helped price. Did find out that the little spinning wheel I have (that is NOT for sale) that I bought for $10 is worth between $75-$100. It is not one of those that has the big wheel (darn) but I love it. And, I have lots of kitchen appliances that I need to get rid of. I used to work for a company that made them so whenever they came out with something new, we all got one....well just how many toasters and rice cookers can you use? I keep finding more stuff to put out and now DH is starting to complain that I have more out there than he does! Never happy! I did re-claim some of the stuff that he was under the impression was going to be sold so it has been interesting, to say the least!

Well, it is official....my printer is dead in the water! The scanner works, the copier works but for some reason the interface with the printer is not. So, I have to contact NewEgg and see what they will do about it. Guess I will have to take the pages for the album to be printed but I might see if it prints okay on my Mom's printer. Most of the time the colors don't match if you use another system but it is worth the try.

To answer a question that keeps popping up from time to time...those jbf files that you sometimes see for you non-PSP users...just delete them. They are a browser file that PSP uses when you view the images. I usually try to delete them before I compress the files but sometimes I miss them. But, they are nothing important!

Is anybody REAL good at PSP? I have a reader with a problem that is really stumping me. Whenever she opens up png files, she gets a white background. We have reset all her settings and I just feel like I am missing something. So if you are real good with the program and think you can help, please contact me and I will get you in touch with her! (see, Carolyn, I have not forgotten you! This is driving me crazy!)
Well, today is the lat part of Skool Dayz....all the rest of the stuffies! There are girl doodles and boy doodles that you can use on the notebooks or where ever, ribbons..straight and ribbons folded, a loopy bow (just love how that turned out) tags, lunch boxes, paints, buttons.....my inner child has now grown up and is not thinking of anything else so I guess I will have to quit!

Sorry...no longer available

Here is a little sneak preview of what is up next...

it is called GRAMMIE'S SEWING SCRAPS.

The colors are fall-like but, heh, it is just around the corner! Where did this summer go to? I did package this kit with the elements (except the alphas) all in the own file. It is a little more time consuming but I hear ya when you email me saying you don't have programs that can isolate an element...will see how this works out. I also removed the "do not share direct link" thingy that I had been putting on each file. Boy! I have been getting hammered with emails that have my previews and then the direct download link...some people just cannot read or they just think they can do whatever they want. Suppose those kind of people will always be in our lives to irritate us...try as we might, there is no reforming them...their egos get in the way!

Anyway...off to do so more junk searching! Have a wonderful day......

Thanks for the skool dayz kit, all of it is really great. Remember having a lunch box which had Elvis on it. Think that's how I will use it when I get some pictures from my GD's 1st grade since she is an Elvis fan.
Thanks also for the explanation of the pspbrwse file. I have been deleting them and constantly asking people what they are. You are a doll for explaining.
Good luck on the 'junk' sale. I admire anyone who takes the time to do that. I always end up storing or giving it away.
All of your kits are great. Please don't ask us to pick out the best. I couldn't do it.

I LOVE the SkoolDaze kit! And Grammie's looks awesome too! Can't wait!

Now on a different note, I think I may have used some of your kit papers for tags I've made for an MSN group. Either yours or Anita's. I love them both. I need to let you know that I'm sorry, I know I didn't put a link on them. In future, anything I use them for that might be 'internet bound' WILL have links.

HUGS...again, I'm sorry

About those PNG files, here is what I do :

Click "Alpha Load selection"
which highlights the picture, then Ok
when that closes ......
Click "Invert Selection"
then click on "Cut"
select none and you are done
You will now have a transparent background
(copy and close original and don't forget to empty your clipboard)

So sorry about your printer I hope you can get it to work soon. :( And I hope you feel better from your flare. :)

About the PSP tutorials this is the link to a collection of PSP tutorials gathered by Doxie in the Stone Accents Studio Forums. There are several members that are PSP users and will be willing to give her a hand either guiding her towards the best tutorials for her level or any other question PSP related. I hope this helps :)

The preview of your new kit is awesome, it looks fantastic. :)

Best wishes and good luck with the Yard Sale. :O)

Janni, what version of PSP is your reader using? I seem to remember that any version of the program before PSP8 could not deal with transparent pngs so they viewed with a white background.

So if she is using PSP7 she wouldn't be able to view transparent background pngs without there being a white background on the image.

She would just have to remove the white background again and save as in psp format to retain the transparent background.

I know dh is up and ready to go with the garage sale. I want the both of you to have a successful event and reap the rewards you are both intitled to. I hope you take some photos of the sale including your everyone who is involved.

I just love the fantastic elements that includes painting tools, lunch pails, all the essentials for school. Love the clips on the colorful miniature notebooks. You really went all the way on these multiple elements. A strong kit indeed.

What a fantastic preview of Grammie's Sewing Scraps. Well, that definitely is descriptive of grambie. I just passed my sewing maching, almost new, to my daughter-in-marriage. So this will be a fun kit indeed. Love the colors with the touch of fall, yet versatile indeed. Love all the upcoming stitching included. A scrappers dream.

(One more day to go. I have a wonderful nurse this week, but she is so slow. Well, tomorrow she is off so I know I should get out at a reasonable time. I got home today @ 5:15 p.m. It is now 7:49 and I have not had time to relax. I stopped by last night before you posted. I almost missed the prior post.) Leavin LUV! XOXOXO

Janni, with png's I go to Selection-> Load from Alpha Channel -> Copy -> Paste as new image and it is then on a transaparent background, close out the original.

Thanks you so much for this great kit and I love the new one you're about to give. ;)

I use 2 versions of PSP, 7 & 8. In 7 (and I hear the versions 5 & 6 do this too) Open the file go to Masks/Load from Alpha Channel/OK

If you have more than one png open at a time you will have to be careful because you must choose the right image from the drop down menu in the box that opens up.
No need for saving over the image.
