IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

By now most of you are probably aware that Anita has gone to a "Members" blog. This is something that she and I have been talking about for some time. Neither of us ever dreamed our designs would take off the way that they did.

I, too, am going that route. For quite awhile I have been toying with the idea of either selling or getting out of designing since I sometimes find it hard to justify the amount of time I spend creating and not making any money doing it. I am also on a limited budget being on disability and as you know DH is just starting to get back into his own business so money is extremely tight but $6.00 for three months is probably the best bargain you will get anywhere! That is about the price of one kit elsewhere and I know that I probably waste more than $6 on God knows what in 3 months!

I realize that some of you will not be happy about this but I have to do what is best for me and my family and that means making a little more income. There will still be freebies, probably more that if I went to a site to sell so please check in. So many of you have become friends and I would hate for that to end.

So, much like Anita's...
1. $6.00 is for a 3 month membership. And, if you join before September 1st, I will also extend your membership to December 31st.

2. I will have a limited TOU which does not allow you to share the password or to upload/share the kits but you will be able to use them for profit. I would still appreciate a link back and credit.

3. You will receive 3-5 kits per month which averages out to 50 cents a kit or less.

4. Once you are a member, you will receive a password that will be good for a month and kits will be left up for 3 months from the date they are posted.

5. There will still be my usual ramblings for you to "suffer" through! LOL!

6. Once you have joined, you will need to email me at jannidee@gmail.com so that I can get the password to you.

7. If for some reason you are uncomfortable using your credit card for an on line transaction, please email me and I will give you my address so you can mail your payment.

8. The more liberal TOU does not apply to kits given out prior to September 1st.

Please understand my reasons and also Anita's, for doing this. You mean the world to us and so many of you have encouraged us to go "pro" for some time. We both love what we do but it does consume a great deal of time and energy.

So, if you would like to join, please click the BUY NOW button on the left.

Now, I do have a little goodie for you. Carolyn scanned some vintage needle packs that she had that she thought would make a nice addition to Grammie's Sewing Scraps and she sent them to me....they are gorgeous! So much nicer than the generic packs you get in the stores now! Boy, have times changed! So, I have uploaded them so that you may all have them.

Sorry... no longer available

And, thank you so much, Carolyn...they are a perfect addition to the kit! Big hugs for sharing them with us!

As far as real life right now...things are still so hectic. The furbabies are still having some adjustment problems but everyday is getting better. Lily is non-stop but is so dang cute!

My son will be finishing up this semester and then he will be moving home and will go back to his old job a Sikorsky Aircraft. He will be looking into schools around here so that he can finish his degree but they have a great tuition reimbursement plan so that will be a blessing! No definite dates for his surgeries yet but he is very anxious about them. At first he was not too thrilled about moving home, felt he had let us down somehow but now he is getting excited about being around his family and friends, not to mention having a paycheck coming in! As for me...well, this mama chick is thrilled to have him back in the nest! But, I am sure there will be an adjustment period for all of us...ya know once you have been on your own, kinda hard to answer to your parents again! And, oh yeah, I am such a hard _ss! LOL!

Talk to you all tomorrow! And, if you would like to become a member of JanniScrap Designs, go click the BUY NOW button! Hugs to ALL of you!

Thought you may be going down the same route, so just hopped over from Anita's. :o) Membership payment and email now sent to you. Your reasons for doing this are very understandable - and the fee of $6 is definitely a bargain!! Thank you so very much for the extra month this time.....and I'm really looking forward to the 1st September. :o))

I understand why you are going this route. I for one don't have a problem with the fee. Your kits are one of my favorites and like you said I have wasted that amount many times. I am looking forward to seeing your new kits and want to say thank you for all your time in making them.

Janni, I fully understand why you're going this way, being on a disability income budget myself with 6 of us, I fully understand, it's barely enough for one never mind 6 of us. Sorry to say I really can't afford to join, even at such a bargan, but I will still visit you here :).
I did 2 layouts of my babies using your "My Guardian Angel" kit, it's on my blog if you'd like to see them.

I love your kits so much...if I had your talent, I also would be going your route. I will be joining, because I do love your kits. Thanks for the free month.
I do remember the old needle packs, the insurance companies used to give them out, the insurance salesman always gave my Mom a pack. Oh, how I wish I had kept them, or had the foresight of collection. Thanks to Carolyn and you for sharing.
Good luck on your new endeavor. Hugs, Dee from Oklahoma 8^)

Love these needle packs. I remember seeing similar ones or maybe even the same of my Mother and Grandmother. Like Dee said, I wish I'd kept them. Who ever knew as we age, things we had in or past would be desirable? Anyhoo, these will have to serve in their place, and I thank you bunches!

Thanks for uploading my needle packs Janni. I 'almost' feel like a designer.....but I guess scanning doesn't quite count does it? :-) I joined your club; small price to pay for your great designs!

I hope to be able to join Anita's and your membership clubs someday, but can't right now. I really looked forward to your daily downloads...they gave me such a lift. I have had a very difficult week, personally, and was looking forward to visiting your blogs today and feeling a bit of normalcy again. Needless to say, I am feeling low, but I understand your reasons and you and Anita must do what is right for each of you. Thanks for your generosity and good luck with your clubs.

I'm not trying to be anonymous...I just couldn't get blogger to post this any other way...

Janni I totally understand the need to generate income. I have thought for a long time your talent was equal to that of many of the designers out there selling and that you could easily sell your kits. Money here is so stretched that I cant afford my internet some months so I just barely got it back this week it had been off a month and had no idea what was going on so I wont likely be able to join right away but when I can I surely will and wish you the best of luck and I will come back to check here for your ramblings

I have the Sewing Susan one also. It was my Grandmothers. She was born in 1908. She taught me to sew when I was a little girl and inherited her sewing box when she passed away in 1993. I also have a 'Bestmaid' needles kit that has two kittens on it.
