Going to be MIA for a bit!

Just a quick post today to let you know what is going on.

The furbaby situation is calming down some. Lola is trying to be very maternal which I am shocked about but that means she is over protective of the kitten and the dogs are paying the price! The kitten is becoming much more adventurous and the poor dogs never know where she is going to come out of! But, it has only been two days so I think we have a few more before they all realize they can co-habitate in the same house that they allow us to live in!

My poor daughter is calling 3-4 times a day from her vacation to check on her...poor timing but everything was all planned. She got Lily from a girl she works with who is a foster mom for cats and she had another 2 preggers cats coming and needed to make room otherwise she would have kept Lily for another week. So I have been working on a Baby Album for her and trying to take lots of pics so she won't feel like she missed too much. When I get the album more complete I will post a link to it but right now it is too much in the works!

I told you my son has to have knee surgery but he is also facing mastoid surgery. He has been a chronic ear most of his life and it seems like he is always having drainage from his ear. He is again without a job, through no fault of his, and all of this is really wearing him down. This poor kid has the worst luck of anyone I know and, even though I may be a tad prejudiced, he is one of the best kid's I know! His old boss from the place where he did internships during high school called us and wanted to know if he would be interested in his old job back. It would mean him moving home before he finishes but at this point that might not be a bad idea. His confidence and self esteem is in the trenches and we are so worried about him. I am hoping that when my DD is with him this weekend it will cheer him up and they will get a chance to talk about what he should do. They really have come to rely on each other for "non-parental" advice. But, it is weighing on us and he is about all I can think about right now.

As far as some of the links not working, I have checked them and they appear to be fine. 4Shared seems to have been temperamental lately so please try again.

I will be back, hopefully after this weekend....maybe by then real life will have calmed down! Hugs to you all!

Think I will ever grow into my collar?
Or should I just wear it as a belt?

Lily is just too cute, I myself have a lil one her name is Belle, she is a calico. Her colors work well for her, lol listen to me I sound like a scrapper trying to get the right color combo for a l/o. Silly me.
I wish your son well with his pending surgeries. I have had a mastoid operation myself and all the ear gunk that goes with it. I can not say how many times i have had tubes in my ears.
I could write a book here. It's just alot that goes on in your life lately Jan I can relate too.
Take care and be safe
always, lilsunshine

She is just such a sweetie, and so small. :) At least Lola now considers her the small one in the house, so she won't be so isolated.:)

Sorry about your son's job troubles, and about his surgery and best wishes to him. I hope your daughter can help him or at least cheer him up. :)

Have great weekend babysitting furry babies and best wishes. :O)

So cute... makes me want a kitten again. But I have enough problems with my old ladies... well one of them. She go infection and started peeing all over the house. Got that fixed and she is still peeing all over the house. I went a bought $70 worth of stuff to spray and "hope" and "pray" that it will help. Gonna start in the morning. Everything I've read says it will take a really long time for the smell to go away.. ahhhhh
Still a cute kittie!!!

I just love all the freebies you give us. You are so talented. Your kitty is so cute.. Almost looks like mine. I have a black cat that we got last year at Easter time. Only she has white under her chin, in her arm pits and on her lower belly. They could be sisters..

Oh my, so sorry to hear about your son. It seems to happen to the good ones. But with your support, he definitely will overcome. My prayers are always pointed in your direction. I understand the ear. My great-grandson kept rubbing his ear, and the Ped kept saying nothing was wrong. I kept insisting that it was. His Mother would have to raise her voice in front of him to get his attention. So we took him to the emergency room of a hospital on this side of Baltimore, but further in the county, they diagnosed him. He had to have surgery and tubes placed within so that it would be opened and not impacted. He is fine now and went through everything just marvelous. He is such a wonderful trooper. I place your son in the same category albeit he is older. He will be fine because love surround him. God's Angels (meaning you) are destined to be happy in this mortal life. Take care of your daughter's babies. Thanks for allowing us to view your wonderful and so happy photos.
HUGS!!!

Little kitties are so cute. I'm sure that he will grow into that collar quite rapidly.

Hope everything turns out with your sons surgeries and job outlook. It can be very depressing when you are out of work. Even though it is no fault of your own, you have a tendency to feel as if you have failed.

Lily is so sweet! I wish kittens could stay little like that, but I love my two fat cats, too!
