Blue is the color of my...

...next part of this kit! I still am working on the Back to School kit so I don't know if that will be next or not. I really don't like to start posting a kit until it is done because it doesn't take much to confuse this old broad! But, I do have quite a bit done so maybe....but in any case, I do have others that I can share so you won't be FREEBIE-LESS!

It is so HOT and HUMID! I do not like this kind of weather, nope, nope! I have such a bad case of the frizzies that I am even thinking of resorting to the "redneck hag baseball cap" look! It is either that or shave my head. This is why I have short hair! I went outside last night to sweep the walks after DH mowed the lawn and within minutes I was dripping and believe me, I was NOT working all that hard! All the more reason to stay inside and play on the computer!

So, yesterday morning, DH says "It is so hot, what about having salad plates for supper?" What makes people think these are a good idea when it is hot? It took me 2 hours to make all the different things to go on it and the kitchen was all heated up! First boil the macaroni for the salad, cook the eggs for egg salad and deviled eggs, poach the chicken for the chicken salad, chop all the stuff to add to all the salads...geez...coulda cooked a 5 course meal in that time! The kitchen was cooled down by the time we ate but I was a wilted mess! I think tonight, take-out sounds like a good thing!

Oh, well...enough of my wheeny whining...you now have your daily dose of that! LOL! Here ya go.....

Download no longer available...sorry!

Janni, it's beautiful, as were the other two colours, just love them, heck I admit it, I love all your kits.
lol, I hate the humid hot weather too, and get the frizzies, so bad that my family laughes at me.
Take out sounds way better then all that work you did yesterday, holy hannah, I'd just through salad on a plate and say here, lol.
Hope all's well.
The angels will be sent out shortly, sorry I've been sick, have a massive infection in my breast & on massive does of antibiotics
Hugs, Lisa

I sure do sympathize it's SO hot and nasty here in central PA too, today it is in the 90's but feels like 100 plus, I am sitting directly in front of a really big fan and I am still sweating ! It sure doesn't help my breathing problems either (I have COPD)- as to sweeping up after mowing....I am allergic to grass and when they are mowing or right after I don't dare go near it, can't breathe at all then !
Thank you for this latest kit, it's really beautiful (as is all of your work !) ;-))

We also here in Indiana are experiencing the hot and humid weather. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Can't wait until fall. Love your kits. The pink Country Charm will be used for scraping my new granddaughter and the blue for my grandson. Love them. Keep up the good work. My computer, I swear, only has your kits on it. One of these days I will have a chance to do layouts with them.

Love this combo of colors to switch out. Love the kits! Yes it is hot and humid here too. Couch baby here.

Wow! How did I miss these until today. I just love these Country Charm kits. Finding the Blue, then the Green, THEN the Rose!!! Beautiful!!!

When you said salad plate, I thought you meant some lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, maybe green pepper, toss in a few olives. When you make a salad, you really make a salad! Sounds yummy though.

Thanks for the blue kit. It's just as lovely as the other two. I love the wreath, it's gorgeous.

I really, really love this kit!! It's so gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Your salads sounded so good. It's hot and humid here in Arizona too. And I've made homemade bread twice this past week now. It's a fast way to heat up the kitchen. But we are used to that kind of weather. I really feel for those of you who are going through the heat wave back east of us. When you are not conditioned to that kind of thing it is very tough to handle. Stay inside, keep as cool as you can, and drink lots and lots of water. Stay safe.

Hi, so glad to see this fabulous layout and addition to this awesome kit. Thanks for part 3 in such a lovely color.

Now, why wasn't I invited to that lovely repass when you so easily made such fabulous dishes. Oh yes, I remember, the email system was having problems. (LOL)I can envision the heat that was radiating from you and your devil horns. You know those little things that make an appearance, every now and then. Especially when the dh is involved. After all of that preparation, leftovers would be the meal today. But if your house is anyway like mine use to be, and is when my youngest son visit, nothing is left. Oh my, the darlings, don't you just love them!!!

I am sitting here sweltering in the heat. I definitely will have to talk to my Dr in the a.m. I woke up during the early a.m. and had to replace my sheets and my soft-down pillow that is on the top of my pillow pile. They were soaked. I know my son just loved my buzzing him, but he came with a smile. I had to take a quickie shower before I could get back in the bed.

So again, thanks for the lovely addition. By the way, Anita sent a head ups regarding your fabulous kit.

I always like the shades of the colors you use in your kits. This is no exception.

Geeze--you went through a lot for a salad. To me a salad in the HOT summer is is just a cold green salad with some carrots, tomatoes etc and maybe some fruit on the side.

Sounds like what you need to make for dinner tonight is reservations!!! Thanks for the blue....all 3 colors are just beautiful, as always!!

I love these new kits you're doing. And so glad that you will share with us!!

And girl..... if you are going to go to so much trouble for dinner.. forget all of those salads and fry that chicken and only have one salad...

Hey Jan, we've been eating alot of take out here. Especially after watching the grandkids till 5:30, I am in no mood to cook. And agree with the other, if he said to make a salad, I would of thrown some lettuce, tomato and cucumber together. lol. Anyway, thanks Jan for todays blue part of Country Charm, I love it.

Hi Janni!!
I can feel your pain with the heat! Here in Ohio it's been in the 90's with storms or extremely high humidity. Living in Northeastern OH we are used to high humidity from the lake, but this summer is getting rediculous!! I can't step outside without pouring sweat~ is it the humidity or menopause for me..? Hum..
I also agree with most of the ladies here.. if someone asked me for a salad for dinner they would find lettuce, carrot, cukes & tomatoes in a bowl!!
Anyway, thank you so much for another wonderful color to this beautiful kit!! Blue is my favorite color, so I guess it is my favorite of the three! Your work is just gorgeous, and I appreciate everything that you do for us here!! Thank You once again!!

Thanks again Janni!! I love the blue, the flowers look even more delicate in blue than in the pink.

The others are right, way too much work went into that salad for a hot day. However, since it was a dinner salad, I would have put on a tin of salmon, or some defrosted shrimp, or maybe some cup-up leftover chicken. You certainly do spoil your DH!! In my house, hot days are for BBQ, and that means DH is the cook!!

This kit is absolutely beautiful, and I'm already thinking in my head how I will use it. I hope yellow checks will follow, so I can mix blue and yellow? Oh please? Thank you so very much for your generousity.

Your salad tale was so funny. I'm with one of the earlier comments. The salads I make can be made in 10 minutes. Since my husband and I are both retired, eating is such a hassel. I don't like to spend a lot of time cooking and we usually just end up eating out. Thanks for the kit! I love your work!

First of all THANK YOU for ALL you share. No way could I afford digital scrapping if it weren't for wonderful people like you. Being on a very fixed income keeps me from things like this, but then there are people like you that share what they make.

So thank you

Second, I was so hoping you would do this set in blue. Love it!
