More drama!

I am sure that by now you are tired of hearing about the drama on our street but it just has been such a "happening" street lately!

Our Library is 4 houses down from my house. Yesterday, I am hearing all kinds of sirens and I look outside and there are fire trucks all over the place! It was a small fire (the firemen said) but it was inside it so I don't know how much damage was done. I hope not very much since like all the building around me, it is old and just a beautiful building.

Today, I am sitting at the computer and all of a sudden I hear this noise like a 747 has crash landed in my front yard! I didn't even think "car crash" since the noise lasted for some time. Ran outside and their is some old guy getting out of his car that had finally stopped in the back of our neighbors van and the front end of his car is demolished. We had my hubby's van, my daughters VW and a little covered trailer parked in front of our house....the trailer is spun around and on the sidewalk basically demolished, all the tires are crumpled and flat and it is far from square anymore, my daughter's car is basically untouched except for a rubber mark on it where the trailer hit it as it was spun around, my hubby's van was pushed into the curb and his drivers wheel is all bent up and the tire is flat and after having it towed to the garage, they say the axle and tie rods? are cracked. The back of our neighbor's van just looked dented but with the damage to my hubby's van, I wouldn't doubt that there could be some other damage to the frame.

The guy is a sheriff with the local court. Me, the neighbor and the girl that is an EMS tech all smelled liquor on him but the cops did not do a breath test. All he kept saying was that he didn't know what happened and that he has done this so many times before....I am sure the fact that he is a sheriff has something to do with the fact that he still has a license!

My poor hubby had just loaded his van up with all his ladders and stuff that he needs for a job he is to start tomorrow since that is his painting truck. His pick up is in the shop with something wrong with the front end so right now he doesn't know what he is going to do...he is not loading all the crap in my car!

Never a dull moment lately! But, we did get to see Danny and he looks really good considering what he has gone through. Still in a lot of head pain which is getting worse as the swelling goes down. Said that they are waiting for all the swelling to be gone and then will have to go back in and remove all the plates and put in new. But, he is in pretty good spirits and jokes about his memory loss although I am sure that some of that is macho pride and a cover up. I told him about all your prayers and he really filled up and said to thank you all and to please keep praying for him. He said..I still have a very long road to go and without prayers, I would have given up already. It was so nice to see all the cops that showed up for today's drama, all go over to him and shake his hand and talk with him.

So, do any of you want my addy so you can move here? LOL!

Got some more Camo for you! So glad some of you said that your daughter's liked the wallpaper!Today is the alpha, some word art and some misc. stuffies!

It might have been just a run of bad luck in the neighbourhood, and it might go as suddenly as it came. I hope that happens soon for you. :)And really sorry to read about your husband's van.:(

Nice and very glad to hear Danny is recovering and things are going well in that issue. Best wishes for him :)

It's really nice the new download, thanks so much for it. :)

I dint really like this at first, and today I was really impressed, so I went back and got all the pieces!!! You are amazing!! and the drama in your neighborhood is a bit much for me, but I have artillery practice in my "backyard" that competes with the construction....wanna trade??~~monica

It's never a dull moment at your house, is it? I hope everything gets repaired quickly. That guy's insurance should not only pay for a rental truck, but I wonder if you're entitled to any lost work income if he can't make it to the job tomorrow. It might be worth a call to your lawyer to find out. Too bad I forgot to return Officer Friendly after you were away for the concert. Maybe he could have done something.

Thanks again for the freebie. My daughter is dying for me to use it now.

Wow what drama where you live, sounds like where I used to live, a little, lol, ours was worse, and it was mostly my neighbour & her daughter causing the trouble. When you have 11 police cars and the police helicopter surrounding your house, it gets scary, lol, which is why we moved.
Glad Danny's doing well.
Hope your hubby's van can be fixed and the trailer too.
Sending hugs your way

Gosh, is there a black cloud hanging over your street? Some people get all the "excitement!" (Though it sounds like that's something you could do without for a long time.) Glad to hear that Danny's doing better. And thank you so much for the freebie!

Great elements.tfs

Hello, Thanks for the elements and alpha - so cool! About what your hubby can do w/ his equipment - I'm guessing the person who crashed into his truck has insurance, and that insurance is covering your truck's damage? That insurance co. SHOULD let your hubby rent a replacement vehicle - especially since it's for his livlihood. Check on that :)

It is never a quiet moment and I don't think my heart can take it. I am having problems enough where I live. For the past 25 yrs this neighborhood has been quiet, no sirens although in the City right beside a busy shopping strip street. Now, we also have such fun-loving neighbors who have contributed to the overall noise & music of the neighborhood. The only good thing is that we have a nuisiance law & I make sure that it is enforced. I am thinking about moving myself, but I took a 2nd loan out to assist my son so that he could buy a home. But if he was drunk, I would definitely remark upon that fact to your insurance company. It is obviously that they definitely use the blue wall of defense to protect their own even when in the wrong. A drunk driver. Just be thankful that no one was in the vehicle. I am curious to see what they are going to do about your damage & recompense. You should have taken pictures. It will change for the better.
To your friend & her son, it means so much to know that you have passed the word along on the essence of prayer. I am still in this prayer band.

Thanks for the additional bling. It is just too cute with all the jewelry. Thanks for the diamond bracelet, I really needed one and you have met the task. Each time I wear it, I will definitely think about you, My Talented Artisan. So Sweet.
Leavin LUV!! XOXOXOXO

It sure does sound like your street has hit the jackpot lately!! I agree with Grambie, I would definitely make sure the insurance company knew that you & others smelled alcohol on him!! I can't believe that just being in the sheriff's dept. made him immune to the breath test!! Makes me so mad!! You should also look into the insurance co. giving your husband a loner, since he now has no work vehicle.
So glad to hear that Danny is doing better! I will continue to pray for him!
Thanks so much for more to this great kit! You are so talented, and your designs are just wonderful!! Thanks again!!

Wow no offense but you neighbor sounds way too wild for me. I think I'll just stay in the boonies where it's still nice and quiet. Glad Danny is doing better and will continue to pray for him and for your family to stay safe in the neighborhood. Thanks for todays part. Teresa

Thanks for the alpha. Understand with everything going on in your life, it was easy to miss bundling something in the file.

Your addy sounds like mine the cops here are the same way..little town syndrome...the next town over had their sherriff canned for setting a man up with drugs to get his woman of all things..he got off scott free after an "investigation" yeah pfft..right..i would say go over his head but no breath test makes it rough..and time passing makes it rougher but insurance compaines do not like this stuff and will likely fully investigate to cover their costs and it will show rate of speed and all that jazz making him at least look guilty at bad driving..

Thanks for sharing your stories as well as your talents I enjoy reading them and feeling like a friend not just someone who sneaks in to take what you have to offer..
