It's the weekend!

This old lady was outside planting and planting and telling herself she should stop and call it a day but, did she? No, just one more she kept saying, just one more, just one more! So the Lord, thought...this daffy old broad is going to be praying to me tomorrow to make the pain go away so let me do something now so I don't have to listen to her belly aching tomorrow! So, he made the clouds darken. The sky began to rumble. And, because even that was not enough to get her attention, he sent large flashes of light streaking towards the earth! She got the message and put her little trowel away and called it a day! LOL! Thank you, Lord!

Got quite a bit done. Did not dig up the hostas...decided that was going to be put on the Honey-Do list for today! I have also decided that I want raised flower beds built all around my house! About waist high, cover the bottom with lattice and ta-da! No more bending! Right...not in this life time!

You gals are so wonderful with your comments...thank you! It is amazing how you think, your life is so unique only to find that others are living the same life more or less! I always thought when I would hear the "older generation" go on and on with stories about their kids from when they were little that they needed to get a life and live in the present......oh, no, I truly have become my mother! I find that I look at my kids so differently now and although I am extremely proud of them and what wonderful people they have become, I long for those days when everything was new and exciting and an adventure! Now, all I can say to them is...grandchildren! Before I am too old to be able to do stuff with them! But, then they do something that shows that they will always need you for something and it just fills my heart! The other night when my son stopped home, the tip of his finger was infected and he just could not get it to clear up. "Mom, do something!!! Make it feel better, please!" So, Mom did and by the next morning it was looking so much better and the pain was gone! Yep, lancing an infection made me feel special! Sick, sick, sick! LOL...but he needed me to do it!

There are still some parts to this kit and then it will be on to the next. Have been playing with some others but as yet nothing is complete. Still dabbling with that Wedding Brag Book but for some reason, very slow going. I think because I am trying to make it "generic" and have the elements add the colors! A couple of other baby things, a summery colors kit, Father's Day...so much to do, so little time! Plus, my neck is acting up and sitting at the computer really adds to the tightness so I am trying to limit my time! I am tired of this headache that goes along with the muscle tension! But, considering what people I know are going through...this is minor so...

So...today is Ribbons and Trims! Lot's of them! One thing that I love about this kit is that even without the little angel, it is pastels and can be mixed and matched and played with to make it work for almost anything!

Download no longer available...sorry!

Have a wonderful weekend, do something fun!

Good Saturday Morning to you! When time allows me, this is the first place I head too, and it's Christmas almost daily. Yep, the Lord has to at times speak loudly here to. I don't get the message easily. LOL Glad you got the message and saved some extra pain for yourself. As for todays bows and trims, what can I say but as always so wonderfully made. Thank you!! for a nice place to visit, and the wonderful things you share from scrappin stuff and your heart.
Have a great day.

LOL - you sound so much like me with my flower beds & roses. I just don't know when to quit!!

It's funny, you wait for your kids to group up and move out on their own but when they're gone you long for them to be back!! Although mine still call every time they need something it's just not the same. My greatest blessing in this half of my life has been my grandbaby, Xavier. Who knew there would still be so much love to give and get. I thank God every day for sending me my little blessing!!

Thank you for another great part to this beauitful kit!!
Hugs

This is such a sweet little kit. At first, I thought I wouldn'e be able to use it since we have so few girls in the family. But then I realized I could make some wonderful encouragement cards from it. So, there are no thatnk yous for the other parts, but I'll roll them all in here. Thank you! This little angel will bring comfort and encouragement to many!

Hehehe...just like God to send a LOUD message that you will hear. I can't begin to count the times HE's had to do that with me because of my stubbornness!! *giggles*

I think I'm almost reaching the point of wanting grandchildren...almost. My children are 20, 18 & 15...so I still have a few years to go!!

I simply adore these ribbons and bow!! TY

One of the things I miss most about my house is all the stuff I loved to play with in the garden..even had a small veggie garden...living in a condo I can't do that but I still grow veggies year round in my earth boxes and flowers in pots...at 60, I'm glad to not be doing so much bending down and know I'd still be at it if I hadn't moved...lol. Can relate to your feeling special cause your son needed you......when mine had shoulder surgery he came home so mom could take care of him...once a mom always a mom.....lol....love these bows and trims....heck, I just love the whole kit.... :-)

When you say ribbons, you definitely mean business. Good afternoon to you on this wonderful Saturday as I set at my Sony computer. (Yeah, I have a computer at last, now the fun begins. I only have Internet & basics at the moment.) Love the tied ribbon bows with their fantastic designs. In fact, all of the styles are my favorite & will use everyone of them. That fantastic ruffle ribbons heard me calling to them & you responded. "SMILE." So beautiful.

Hope you feel better with the pain issue. I had a terrible pain week & had to do Oncology again so I know where you are coming from. Still the Goddess' reigns even when she is not feeling up to par. So have a restful day after all the gardening, etc. Since you wouldn't listen to reason, he politely gave you a boost. You are the most. LOL. HUGS!! XOXOXOXO

Thanks for another great part of the kit! This is really adorable! I am actually thinking of calling it an early day and just lounging but I probably won't lol. It's already after 3pm....ah well....maybe I will call it quits around 9 instead of 12 or 1 lol. Have a great weekend!

Thanks Jan for the ribbons and bows, I do so love all the elements that go to a kit. There is so much you can do with them. I am glad you didn't overdo gardening yesterday. When are you going to learn. It will get done, a little at a time. I spent the afternoon outside myself. I had the pool to take care of. My Son in law came over thursday to help take the cover off and to hook everything up. When the cover came off it looked like I had oil in the pool. So I shocked it and put other stuff in and now it is a light green. So I was vacuming the pool and doing other cleaning in the back yard and now I am just so glad to sit down in the air conditioned house.

Cute cute! Just curious - our nursery said for me to dig hostas in the spring when they first sprout. Does it hurt them to do it later? Mine are HUGE!!! Thanks to anyone who answers!! LOL

Thank you again Jan, for such a cute kit. I really love your ruffled lace ribbons today, as well as the rest of this kit. At first, I wondered how much use I would have for the baby girl theme, but this is really versatile. I know I will use it for something with a soft feminine touch, and with the blues it will work for baby boys too.

Thank for another lovely addition to the Guardian Angel kit. It's so soft and pretty.

Isn't nature grand! When we built this house 6 years ago we were blessed with clay and black dirt instead of the sand pile we came from. We went hog wild with the hostas, perennials and annuals. We put in terraced boulder rock gardens and beds around the perimeter of the house and hubby's shop. It was like taking more food than you could eat! Three years ago I got sick and can't recover so most of my gardening days are over. Oh, I still do a couple of hours here and there and love it but most of the work falls to my hubby. I have 1500 red tulips planted and my 20 peony plants had almost 100 blossoms per plant this May. We have over 1000 hostas planted. What were we thinking! I live for spring but times are a changing. All I can say is enjoy the gardening while you can because things can change in a wink. My hubby is 75 now, still works fulltime plus has the 2 1/2 acre lawn and the gardens to keep up. Thank God for good health! My sister is a master gardener and one can always enjoy other's gardens, right?

Bless you for all the sharing you do of your designs and your blog journaling.
