Happy Hump Day!

Couple of things before we get to the download.....

First....tutorials! Do them, search for them, practice them! Google is a wealth of information, just ask what you are looking for and BAM!....tons of links! Ain't the Internet just amazing! Seriously, I get asked so many times how I learned, and that is how. Well, that and the fact that I am OCD and just won't give up! But, just do a search for what ever and you will find lots of links. If you want tuts in general or if you want, say, lace...just type it in. Many of the big sites have tutorial sections. Check them out. I may not actually do each and every tut I find but I do read through it because they may use a tool that I don't even know exists! LOL! So you always learn something new. Then practice, practice, practice! I keep threatening to share the first kit I made but I really don't want to embarrass myself! But, the more you learn about the program you are using, the more you can think of how to use it.

Second, I use PSPX but there are so many other programs out there so if you ask a question about "how do I?", you need to tell me what program you are using. No sense in going into a long explanation, if I am talking bananas and you are eating apples! Know what I mean?

Third, (okay, I guess we are up to a FEW things not a couple), to add pics to a quickpage. Open your pic, resize if needed, paste it as a new layer to the quickpage (beneath the quickpage if necessary) and then move it until it is in the right position for the opening in the quickpage. When you are happy with it, merge. You need to have an understanding of layers when working in PSP and you will get that by referring back to "First"! Really, not being sarcastic here but tuts are a God send. I am NOT a tut writer....don't have the organized mind to be one. And, I admire those that can write tuts and remember all the steps.

Fourth, (does that now make this several things?), Care Bears. Would love to help you out but Care Bears are licensed and although I know that there are those that send out sets using Licensed images (like Dora, Builder Bob, etc.) it is something that Anita and I are not comfortable doing. You can get in a lot of trouble with copyrights and stuff. Sorry.

And, Peggy....why did you purchase WinRar? There are so many free downloads for the trial version which is all you need! Sorry that you spent money on it but hopefully, someone else will read this and not do that! I do take it as a compliment that you did do that though! Thank you!

Oops, guess Peggy was fifth and now Sixth! See my new button over on the left for Shutterfly? Some of you may have noticed in the comments that someone from Shutterfly contacted me. Well, seems they have targeted some sites that they wanted to partner with and I was one of them. Basically, I put a button on my site and if you click on it and then purchase something I get a commission. Believe me, I will not get rich from it but I do like their stuff and for that reason, jumped at the chance! I think that even if they had just asked that I put their button here and I got nothing, I would have done it! Several other designers have been talking about the books they have gotten from them and are just in love with them! I have checked them out and really for what you would pay for an album, the sleeves, the printing, etc. you can get them to do it for probably less and it is a bound book. Makes a nice gift and takes up a lot less shelf space! I am thinking that with the pics from my cousin's birthday that I might do one of their books. Will have to see how the LO's come out first. They do have premade LO's and walk you through each step so check them out! Father's day is coming up...wouldn't that make a nice and personalized gift? They offer tons of services. Anyway, check them out and if you do order please click to them from here??? Thanks.

Okay, I think I am done rambling! On to the download....got pretties for you today!
Beads and Buttons and Trims, oh, my!

Download no longer available...sorry!

And, as always, have a great and sparkling day!

About the tutorials your are right, you just need to be patience and look in Internet for a tutorial and sooner or later you will find something, and the trick is just that keep trying until you learn. :) Anyway you also need to be good at desining to be able to do some stuff, I'm not sure I could do most of the things I found in blogs, but I can use them. ::):
I had not noticed the Shutterfly buttom so it's good to get a reminder of what there is in a blog LOL

Thanks a million for the new part of the kit a best wishes. :o)

I LOVE yours and Anita's work! I discovered you last week and have a hard time not checking twenty times a day! lol
Hmmm maybe I will have to think about Shutterfly for later after I move and can afford it again. I have so much on this computer that an easier way to crank them out would be great! Thanks!
And thank you for sharing all of your hard work. HUGS

I agree with you 100% on everything you mentioned. For tutorials for beginners I always send them to Scrapbook-Bytes because they have the basics for most of the scrap programs (PS, PSP, DIP, PI, etc). I also use ALzip instead of WinRar but it's the same thing, different day. I am in love with Shutterfly now- did Mother's Day books and they are just so great. I'll definitely click thru you for my next order! And lastly I love the beads and buttons from today. they are well done and I appreciate you sharing them with us all!
Hugs,
-Amy W.

I totally agree with you regarding tutorials. For me, the learning of a new software or new aspect of a known software just enhances my mindset. These elements are just so perfect. Love those buttoned & beaded corners along with those fabulous beaded hearts. Thanks again for your ingenuity in knowing what will spark our interest & designing skills. "You're simply the best, better than anyone." Leavin Love XOXOXOXOXO.
