You fill my heart...

You ladies are really something! So many good wishes, good thoughts, concern and prayers...it is overwhelming and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

There are just so many things that all happened at the same time that just piled on things that have been simmering that I just wanted to give up and escape. I am sure that most of you know the feeling...seems women take on more than they should have to handle and let themselves become responsible for EVERYONE's happiness! And, gee, surprise, surprise! No one seems to really appreciate it or notice that you, too, are hurting!

Lot's of family stuff which I can't talk about here or even talk about yet since it is way too painful, friends that I thought were friends that turned out not to be, some not so nice scrapping experiences, financial problems...some days the list seems endless and, physically, I just don't have the energy or the desire to deal with it all. Having my own little pity party here, I guess!

But, I have read all your comments and I re-read them when I need a lift. I truly believe if you guys were all local and I could get together with you, life would seem a lot rosier!!

A little gift for you to say "Thank you" and to let you know that hopefully soon I will get over myself and get back on track! I think about what some of you have shared with me that is going on in your lives and I thing about how selfish I am being but then something else happens...well, I am sure you all know the feeling....
A little word art for you (Background not included)

Download no longer available...sorry!

Hi Janni,
I am pleased to hear from you.
I have found that people who appear to be your friend, given an opportunity to show such, are infact just an acquaintance. (We have many of those but very few friends).
You mentioned you are having your own little pity party.....although you are entitled to do such, I trust that you will be able to place yourself into a space where you can brush of the bruises and get back up fighting fight and happy again real soon.
I am thinking of you and sending healing energy your way, so when you feel it, please embrace it and know that my luv and concern has reached you from the other side of the world.
Cuddles and Luv to you from someone who cares.
Here's a cyber xoxo in the interim.
Luv from Cindell

Hey Jan,
I still have been coming here everyday just watching over things and making sure no one messes with your blog while you take your time to heal. I was glad to see your post, as it shows me that you are on the road. I have been in your shoes many times with all that you mentioned (except for the scrapping experience) and can only tell you to be strong for this too shall pass. I think the thing that had bothered me the most is what you mentioned about friends. Because its not just that the friend has let you down but (and I am speaking for myself) its that you start to question your own judgement. I really do wish that you lived closer as I would love to meet you. Although I really don't know you I get the feeling of strength and goodness from you. My advice for you now is just keep yourself busy with the things that you enjoy. Don't dwell on the hurtful things as it will just suck you down. Just remember this: God, grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Thank you very much for the goodie. Take all the time you need. Sometimes we just need time to ourselves. You just know that you are loved by your internet friends and appreciated. I hope everything works out for you

janni, this may sound trite, but i've been through some unbelievably bad times and i've found that it's true that what doesn't kill us (tho we wish it would and be done with it!) really does make us stronger. i'm working on wonder woman status right now. (i really just want her super-bra!) and i prefer adifferent version of the serenity prayer: god grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change the things i can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people who ticked me off today! lol! laughter and digi scrappin' are what get me through - hang in there!

1st of all, thank you for the special goodie that you made for us; it's lovely. :)

Secondly, I'm really glad you've poked your nose out and are able to talk a little.

It doesn't make YOU selfish if you are down and out and need to withdraw a bit. Your problems aren't any less real because someone else's are greater. I know you know this, but maybe it helps to hear it ... no one can be responsible for someone else's happiness. Those who expect it from you are being selfish and are going to EXPECT an unending supply. Believe me... I know. You have enough to deal with, with your health issues. Those who are draining you dry SHOULD be considerate of that. Stand firm, Janni, and let those who hurt you know you aren't taking any more of ANYTHING. (Fmaily is usually the worst at doing this) It may initially make them angry but eventually they will come to respect that and things will change, not overnight but it will.

I've been online for just over 10 years now. I've met a lot of people, some in person, some only online.
I've found that you can form strong bonds with some folks online. I've also found that you can be fooled by others, but not for long, because their true nature always shows through whatever facade they have put on.

The same goes for family and so called friends at home. Their true nature will eventually show through as well.

Unfortunatley, you have no control over how they have acted. You only have control over how you DEAL with how they made you feel.

One thing I truly believe is that what goes around, comes around.
It might not happen today, or tomorrow or next week, or even next year. But eventually, it will come back to them and be far worse than you have experienced.

There are a buncha foks right here on this blog that care how you feel. We know that you are good people, it comes through in the way you write about your experiences with your family and friends, and us too.
We're all here, hanging round, keeping the spider webs from forming up there~~^
Just know that I care about ya!
Even if ya do keep Officer Goodbody to yourself *glare*

Dear Janni, The times are times for broken hearts, I have my share of problems, family, friends and work, all at the same time, and sometimes I want just to runaway from everything. And I do. You give me that opportunity, and Nana, and a lot more of beautiful and talented ladies who present us with a way to the land of fantasy. I storage your kits with childish happiness, and make pages and pages of LOs where I remember my past and the love ones who are no more here to comfort me. So.... I always here if you need comfort, a word of wisdom or just a friend for gossip.

Just know that you fill our hearts everytime you share your beautiful creations with us! It's good to hear from you, but I wish you were feeling better. We all know that sometimes life kicks you in the butt! Please know that there are a lot of us out here in cyberspace that care about what you are going through and are praying that things look sunnier real soon!

Try to remember the Serenity Prayer and lay it at the throne. It has been very hard to do that, but once I do....the weight is lifted. We are all here for you to vent, so get it out!!!!

First thank you so very much for this lovely gift!
Second sounds like your going thru the same thing I am, I just take it one day at a time since my husbands death 6 years ago, I stay to myself and even though I'm on the Board of Director's at the Firehouse from which I retired as a volunteer firefighter 3 years ago and only go there 1 or 2 times a month for meetings. Life goes on but when your down you need to get it out of your system so what better place to do it but on your blog!
BIG HUGS & PRAYER's!!!!!!!

My goodness, you are not being selfish at all! I know how it feels to give your all to others you care about and to feel so disillusioned when reality hits you hard when you need someone to support you and they are just not capable of being there in return. Take all the time you need to work through your issues/problems. Life certainly isn't fair and we all need recoup time when life hands us too many lemons!
