Has everyone recovered yet?

Boy, oh boy! Was I wiped out today! It was a wonderful Christmas and I enjoyed every minute of it but I, as usual, over did it and today it was all I could do to get dressed! So worth it though! Hubby also gave me a Sony Cybershot (Yep! I was a none digital girl!) I am so loving that man lately! And lots of other goodies from the kids and Mom and they all seemed to like their presents. Dinner was delish and it seemed like we just sat around the table forever, talking and reminiscing and just enjoying each other. All totaled there was 10 of us. Just a wonderful and glorious day! I hope you all got all that you wished for and had a great day. Thank you all for the good wishes! You guys are the best!

Now, I just have to load the program on my computer which at the moment seems to be fine except for needing more memory which I will take care of this week, I hope. I am almost afraid to put anything else on this tired old girl for fear she will really rebel and crash! But when I do, I will start sharing some pics. I did manage to get the second tree up which is decorated with the gold ornaments from Danbury Mint. Both trees are just beautiful and will probably be up for most of January! I am so bad about taking them down!

The only thing that marred the holiday was hearing from one of my dearest friends that her son had relapsed with his drug problem. She is an awesome Mom and such a wonderful person. Only goes to prove that "there but for the grace of God". He had just been released from a 3 week program and only home for about a week. Only a senior in high school and already in such a bad predicament. Such a shame and so hard on his family. Please, if you could say a little prayer for him so that he might find a reason to fight this and the strength, I would so appreciate it.

Have I got a freebie for you!!!!!

I am so proud of this! I don't think I have ever seen anything even remotely like it so I am so excited to share it with you. Everything was created by me...I am as proud as a new mama!

It is an embroidery hoop that you can put a picture on and it looks like one of those cross stitch kits that are printed on fabric and then you cross stitch! The layers are all separate png files (300 ppi), you get 2 fabrics, one in white and one in ecru, the needle has the shadow applied so that it looks like it is going through the fabric and I left the thread in graytone so you can colorize it to match your photo. I have also included in the rar file, instructions with screen shots so that you can make sure your photo looks right when you add it! Now, how nice am I? Please, oh please, if you use this, I would love to see your LO! The picture in the preview is a my favorite pic of my daughter when she was about 2 (she is 23 now!). She was such a cutie! Okay, I think that she still is but I may be a little prejudiced! Honestly, both my kids are the greatest!

So here you go.

Download no longer available...sorry!

Not sure how much I will get to blogging this week. Hubby and I are going to be heading north to the cabin for the New Year. We hope the kids will come but I really thing they are at the age that they would rather spend it with friends and not us old folk! So it might be just the two of us which will be great . I really want to go to Stockbridge which is where Norman Rockwell was from and see his museum and the town decorated. But, since I am naturally gabby...I am sure I will at least pop in and say hi to you all!

Have a spectacular day and keep the Christmas spirit going, at least for a little while longer!

Huggers!

These are so neat. A friend of mind did something like this but her pic. looked as if they were stiches on (she does a lot of cross stiching & embroidery) and I thought that was so crafty of her to bring both of her hobbies together like that.

Thanks for sharing this with us

Hello,

I have a question. I recently started digital scrapbooking and love your freebies. If I want to post a layout on your blog how do I do that?

So cute. Thank you. I used to do a lot of cross stitching & embroidery myself. Now I'm down to crocheting and scraping.

You really should be proud-you did an excellent job! So glad your Christmas was so great. We had a really great time too. Children, grandkids, hubby, me and of course, Pugsli. (Oh yeah, my grandpuppy Molly was here too.) The only thing I got for Christmas that I didn't want was an UTI. BOO!
Anyway, I hope You have a great and wonderful New Year!!! Hugs to ya!

Hi Jan,
I am so glad you had a wonderful Christmas. I did too. I was with all my Children and my Grandkids and we had a great time. I am positive you will love your digital camera. I have had mine for years and I couldn't imagine going back to a regular camera. I am so sorry for your friend. Addiction of any kind is horrible to live with. I know, as I have had it in my family. I will pray for her. On a lighter note, thank you so much for this great freebie. I love it. You are so very talented and generous. Thank you so much.

This is awesome. Thank you so much.

A long time ago, I owned a yarn and needlework shop. I loved it so much only it didn't make enough money to support me and I had to find a new career/job. That was OK but sometimes, I really miss it. I recently came across shop photos, sale flyers, newspaper ads and lots of other stuff kept all this time in a box in the closet. I would like to do something with it. Now I have a wonderful start. Thank you!

Janni, I tried to email you, but I couldn't get the link to work. I hate to sound rude or be rude, but I can't d/l this. By any chance do you or can you reoffer this adorable idea? If I have offended you, by asking, I apologize, as that was not my intention. Thank you as always for all of your hard work and great gifts.

Thank you,

Nice to read about your vacation after the fact. Your writing always bring a smile even if you are frustrated about something. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those embroidery hoops. Oh my. This is just perfect. I might be behind but oh when I can scrap, what a time it will be. So beautiful. TFS.
