Day 6, Sick Cat and No Ride...

It's the old I got good news, I got bad news thing!

Didn't get to take our ride yesterday Woke up yesterday morning to Lola, the cat, acting weird. Usually she is waking me up in the morning by licking my nose with her sandpaper tongue until I get up and get her breakfast for her. But she was still asleep and even after I got up, she stayed all curled up. When I woke her up her right eye looked a little swollen and she kept it shut and she was kinda twitching her head to the the left. Not like a twitch really but like something on the left side of her head was hurting and she was trying to get away from it. And, she was affectionate which she is normally not so much. So, I just wrapped her up in a blanket and sat with her and after about an hour she woke up, jumped down and was begging to be fed, eyes wide open acting fine. She ate, played, did her business and sat in the window like normal. A couple of hours later, she was doing the same thing. This happened about 4 more times during the day and, of course, I couldn't go off and leave her. So today, as soon as the vet's office is open, I will be making a call. She seems fine this morning but...

This isn't even my cat. Matter of fact only one of the animals we have living her is mine. The other two belong to my kids. Got them, can't have them per their landlords so of course, Mom, being the softy that she is, will be more than happy to take care of them! Empty Nester, right! If it isn't the kids moving back home, it's their junk or in this case their pets! I just keep telling them that they are just lucky that I really don't have a life so I have plenty of time to take care of theirs!

Hubby gets his stitches out today and is doing, physically, well. Mentally, he is driving me crazy. Why do men think they always have a better way of doing EVERYTHING! So far, he has given me "tips" about cleaning (which he never does), laundry (which he never does unless it's his hunting camos, which I guess the washing machine is simpler to use if it is washing camos), cooking and the other day he was standing behind me giving me tips on PSP! This man is so computer illiterate that I have to sign him on to the internet! If this is what it is going to be like when he retires...someone isn't going to make it for very long! Love him dearly but the man needs to go back to work!

Good news is Day 6 is up! Today you get the clips (5 of them) staple, grommet and brad. If anyone has done a LO with this kit so far, I would love to see it! I have a little surprise for you all on day 9 of something I put together. So keep your eyes open!

Download and as always leave a little something and enjoy! Hugs! (DOWNLOAD NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Thank you for the goodies. They will be fun put together with all the other things you've made for this kit.

I'm glad Lola is ok; it's scary when somehting's wrong and they can't tell you what it is.

I've been there with a hubby who gives unwelcome advice on everything under the sun. Hey, if he has a "better way to do it" why not let him, LOL!!
