And, WOW, the comments! Those "cockles" that were warming are now about to burst into flames! Thank you so much and I am so glad you are enjoying this? But, now who was it that said they hoped it would continue until Day 35? Are you trying to kill me? Geez! Starting to wind down now because, if you remember, a while back I said I had 2 surprises for you! This was the first one, so that means there is another one just waiting to happen! Yep...never a dull moment...at least not lately.
My girlfriend started her radiation on Wednesday. She goes twice a day for a week. They are doing something relatively new where they have implanted something that holds a very strong dose of radiation for a half hour, then they remove it but it is done 2X a day and is really zapping her of energy but at least she doesn't have all the other side effects of long term radiation.
My son finally found a job up at school! He has had so much trouble trying to find one that he can do around his class schedule that he was getting pretty discouraged! Plus, this one is in his field so he is thrilled to be working in a machine shop and using the CNC machines! He had applied there before but his application was overlooked and they hired somebody else. When he called to check, the guy admitted that he had not even seen his application but promised that if he needed someone else he would call. Yeh...heard that old story before, right? Well, he actually did call about 2 weeks later since the guy they hired just didn't work out. Didn't know what he was doing and got hurt on the job. So, when they called my son, they really put him through the wringer so they could make sure that he wasn't blowing smoke up their arses about his knowledge of the machines . They did not want a repeat of this other guy! After all the supervisors talked to him, they asked him what it would take for them to offer so that he would come work for them! Just the boost to his confidence he needed! So doing the Happy Dance for him!
Well, going to go and get another carpet cleaned today. Did the living room yesterday in the heat and thought I was going to die. Today is much cooler and a whole lot less humid! So before I find too many excuses NOT to do it..better get going!
Party on, my ladies....enjoy all these hot guys that you managed to sneak into this party! Policemen, firemen and now doctors?!?!? If this ruckus keeps going, we might consider getting a lawyer or two to come!
